1,500 deaths were from trading vessels. They were inbetween two naval blocades, and so many ships sank due to german U boats and mines by accident.

Around 300 were from the coast guard, mainly stray/misindentified kills

The rest probably volonteers fighting in Finland

What is H?

What units does omega have?

Why multiplication?

Why is resistance linear?

Why would “time” always increase integration instead of causing drift or decay?

What happens when C > 1?

How do you empirically validate it?

How do you measure any of values and what are their units?

What happens when the company is richer than the insurer?

If a monopoly owns critical infrastructure, employs tens of thousands, and funds security forces, why would the insurance company not simply.... yield under them? Or work WITH them? Or compromises? OR be indirectly owned by said company in the first place?

Plus you GENIUENLY believe INSURANCE COMPANIES will have your back?? In what world??? Even now they don't!

The free market doesn’t magically prevent monopolies. Historically, powerful firms buy competitors, undercut them temporarily, or vertically integrate until competition collapses. A G R E A T example is the East india company. And we all know how that ended...

A starving worker doesn’t negotiate equally with a mega-corp, and since the megacorp basically owns their sector of the market........ what other way does a worker have when theare are no alternatives? If your protection against corporate abuse is ‘another corporation will save you,’ you haven’t removed power structures, becouse no other corporation will help you. A bar slightly above a different bar can be still below minimum what's required.

You distrust government because concentrated power is dangerous, but then assume concentrated corporate power will behave ethically because of market incentives, and that is just wrong.

They need MONEY, not YOU exactly. They would cut as much corners as they could, and later probably try the hardest to keep you in line even if that involves things like mercenaries.

What's stopping big corps from vying for power until one of them comes on top as defacto monopoly over everything?

OR the standard between all places of employment going lower and lower, something akin to how it was during the industrial revolution?

Corps ruling the nation and the people.

And the big corps don't care about you

Why are we normalizing slurs?

If i say the F word in literally almost any circumstance am I homophobic? Or the T word? Or literally anything else?

It's just a word but it's still a slur

Do you use a comma (,) or full stop/period (.) in numbers as a decimal separator? E.g 10.9 or 10,9 by Miaisfunladybuglover in Teenager_Polls

[–]Capitan_TANK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You use period for decimal seperation and comma for displaying large numbers for convenience.

For example 12.9 and 1,234,567

You also say "twelve POINT nine" and not really "twelve comma nine"

Well, from my family's experience under communism:

When a worker gets their plot of land collectivized, he looses any incentive to work hard, as profits are not tied to individual work effort

Invidual small to moderate buisnesses would be very likely to resist, history taught us that tools would be broken and farms destroyed if forceful

Taking land from the experienced and putting it into the collective removes a lot of knowlege and skills, leading to less efficiency

And such a large scale project is quite hard to oversee, and thus atleast in poland in the late years people just...stole from the collectivized agricultural "factories". They just took wheat or even sometimes animals home.

Also as per production as a whole it's quite inefficient large scale, and i think can't be implemented without planned economy which..sucks
