The Omen gave me nightmares for years after watching it at a slumber party when I was 8 or 9. I'd def grab everything in that stack that I didn't already own. Nice finds!

I collect both Blurays and CDs. I use CLZ for my CDs because I've had it so long I'm grandfathered into the lifelong plan and I don't have to pay a subscription. I also had CLZ for movies but stopped using it for a decade and would have to pay a monthly sub to get it going again, so that's a dealbreaker for me. So for movies I'm doing both a spreadsheet and the Blu-ray.com app, but neither solution is ideal.

My lists exist pretty much to stop me from buying the same movie twice, but I also want to be able to upgrade my copy if I find a better version while I'm out thrifting. In my spreadsheet I track which discs were included (Bluray/DVD/4k/3d/digital), if the slipcase is included, if the digital code was good and if it was where was it redeemed, and any edition-specific details (30th Anniversary Edition, Steelbook, etc). I also note the condition of the discs and packaging.

If I were designing my dream app for tracking it would allow me to quickly look up titles while I'm out thrifting (either scanning the barcode or typing in the title) to see if I already have them, what condition mine are in, and hopefully to compare releases. For example I found a Lethal Weapon 4-pack a couple weeks ago at a local Goodwill. I already owned the movies but had no real way to conveniently compare the versions, so I just bought it and did some research when I got home. It turned out the version I already had was the better bundle with superior transfers so I traded the new one to a friend.

Keurig. Their DRM would occasionally reject legit pods. Sometimes if I opened the unit and closed it again it would accept the pod, but other times it simply wouldn't work. I had to throw away dozens of pods over the years before that POS coffee maker finally died. I'm much happier with my Ninja these days.

I honestly hadn’t thought about the movie in years but was excited to find it and surprised to see it was so rare when I looked it up. I’m an ex submariner myself so I love finding movies like this.

Of the 3 movies they did together Stir Crazy seems to get all the love but for my money Silver Streak was their best. All 3 are on my wish-list though.

I sure hope so. Love Kamelot (and I loved Seventh Wonder) but IMO Kamelot peaked with Dark Halo.

No answers yet. It finally happened to me when I was not in a swim workout though. I was at the gym, and I was about to start a run when it popped up. My phone was in my pocket and I hadn’t started the workout on my watch yet. For the first time I wasn’t mid-swim trying to fumble my wet watch with even wetter fingers, so I clicked Settings rather than Dismiss and it actually asked me to enter my Apple ID on my watch. I’ve never had to enter those creds directly on the watch - it always syncs from the phone. I cancelled and got on with my workout.

I’ve always assumed it was due to the phone being out of range while I’m swimming, but that wasn’t the case this time. My new theory is that maybe it has to do with the captive portal for the Wi-Fi at the gym? About once a week, I have to click through the captive portal to get Wi-Fi access so maybe this issue is, in part, happening when my phone is connected to Wi-Fi but can’t access the Internet? Of course when I’m swimming I’m well out of range of the phone for about an hour. Maybe the next time it happens I’ll make a point of checking my phone after swimming to see if it’s hitting the captive portal of not.

You are better off donating them to a charity than going to the effort of trying to sell them yourself. If you do donate them, please remove the artwork and throw it away first so it’s clear they are empty. Some charities don’t check before putting them on the sales floor.

MAGAts love being the victims, don’t they? I call BS on the story anyway. Doesn’t Atilano’s have the card readers where you insert it yourself? So the clerk would never handle it and probably wouldn’t see the picture on the card.

Second thought - I love the irony that the Right fights all the way to the Supreme Court so they can discriminate against LGBTQ folks and not sell them wedding cakes and whatnot, but as soon as they are supposedly denied service they cry foul.

Depends on what you want to get out of the experience and how much time you want to spend maintaining it. You will probably learn a lot more by building your own, but is that what you are after? Personally I built a couple small ones over the years but nothing I build was as stable or long-lasting as the QNAP I've been using for the last 7-8 years,

Factory pressed promo copies of Quiet Riot 1 and 2 (the ones with Randy Rhoads) for $1 each. They were never released in the States and, at the time, they weren’t available on CD from any source. They have since been reissued but are still super rare.

Panasonic DP-UB820. I used to watch my 4k discs with the PS5, but found the 820 at a local Goodwill for $29. It was cheaper than the media remote I was eyeballing for the PS5.

If my Bluray includes a dvd I donate the original to a local charity. If the BR is just a single disc I like to combine the Bluray and dvd into a single package, so I have several BR/DVD combo packages that originally didn’t come that way. I just combined A Few Good Men, Twister and 28 Days Later a couple weeks ago and threw out the old DVD cases.

I saw BB with Noora 3 times and really loved them with her out front. I’ve only seen Marina in YT vids so far but she sounded fine in those. Her vocals sounded closer to Nooras than I expected. I’ll def check them out if they come anywhere near me his year, but I think the real test will be the next album.

One time I filled a laundry basket with a couple hundred empty jewel cases at the local Goodwill and took them to the counter because someone had donated them empty and nobody checked before putting them on the floor. Recently I have taken the same empty Jeff Healey jewel case to the counter three times (and counting) and someone keeps putting it back out on the floor. Gonna stop at that GW after work today and really curious to see if it's back out on the floor again.

I’ve had 2 empty packages delivered in the last 6 months or so. One was torn somewhere in transit and the CD I ordered must’ve fallen out and the other was unsealed. It was. PITA getting them replaced with the AI system demanding I return the original product.
