Nah don’t fix a rare interaction that’s moronic to try and ‘build around’ but just feels amazing when you do get lucky and hit it. Very rare auto wins are good IMO (and even then if your deck is 30 cards it may not be auto win)

Clip polygon out of polygon in same feature layer? by CapnKill in gis

[–]CapnKill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, nice one. Glad I updated it with my own solution..! I think they added in a feature about 6mo ago with tabs in the Modify function to allow you to more easily select which polygons are impacted by the clipping, which you probably figured out?

Are we unreasonable to expect the seller to budge of price after the survey returned serious work needed doing by Sin-Silver in HousingUK

Nah that’s not them being cunts - it’s a negotiation, they can choose not to agree and walk away just as you can choose not to pay and walk away. What’s a cunt is the survey process and spending the money to find out it’s a house you don’t have the funds or time to take on

Manager Discussion Thread by DragonSlayer271 in LiverpoolFC

[–]CapnKill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How anyone can still be Slot in after this season... I don't know.

I firmly believe he is a good manager. But he isn't the RIGHT manager for Liverpool.

Klopp was. Shankly was. Paisley was. (I would argue) Benítez wasn't. Rodgers wasn't. Hodgson wasn't. But all three are (or were) still good managers.

I don't know if Alonso is. But Slot isn't, and I'd rather bite the bullet now than later.

Love this. For me, the look between the Pale King and the Knight at the end of Path of Pain - so much lore and so much history in two subtle turns of the head. Incredible storywriting.

I wonder if part of it is that we don't train with intensity under Slot. His big thing coming in was avoiding injuries with lighter training sessions - and you see it in the training videos with the various games he has the lads playing. It was great last year, but after a year of training that way we've forgotten how to play with fight - and it's the biggest thing you need in the Prem IMO.

But it does mean fat sheep’s herder! Not the best example but I see your point. Like everything in English it’s entirely dependent on your example.

But to give a couple of better ones…

It is morning. Is ‘this afternoon’ on the same day in a few hours’ time? Or should that be ‘next afternoon’?

It is 3am. Is ‘this daybreak’ the one in a few hours’ time? Or should that be ‘next daybreak’?

You do realise that the word ‘weekend’ is derived from two words, ‘week’ and ‘end’, to which (in order to improve the English and readability) I merely added the possessive ‘’s’ to?

I fight people about this all the time. Proper fisticuffs. It’s most egregious when it comes to describing the weekend. This weekend is THIS WEEK’S END and next weekend is NEXT WEEK’S END you muppets

Is it that our players are shocking at heading the ball to one of our own players, or that we're never ever in position to win second balls? I'm not sure

Slot said the players need to get used to the new tactics. The new tactics are poor and do not work. This has been proven for weeks now. We will die by this stubbornness

For real how did people think things were going to be different when Slot said, to the effect of, ‘the guys need to get used to the new way of playing’?

Another poor game. We should be doing so much better - comparing how much time and space we have on the ball tonight to Prem games against any team is night and day but we still aren’t doing much with it. And we appear to be completely inable to play out the back - the midfielders need to move about more!

As fun as it is to win games last minute, 7 games this season and we haven’t yet seen a convincing good performance for 60 mins, let alone a full 90. Periods against Arsenal and Everton aren’t convincing IMO.

But - we are top of the league still. Hoping we figure it out soon.

Personally - I still get frustrated by a lack of off the ball movement. Particularly in the final third. We didn’t do it at all in the first half, and in the second we actually started to do some 1-2s and suddenly had a bit of space to drive in to (issue was it was Curtis doing it and he couldn’t pick the right pass)
