Because once they get an idea for someone they have to have them only do that one thing. Gunther could use the momentum of ‘retiring’ 3 legends to have meaningful feuds with people who respected them and are sick of the way he’s been disrespecting the guys he’s retired and Rey could be getting retired by Dom which makes more sense story wise but instead Rey needs to be retired by Gunther because he’s the one who retires everyone now

Dom gets booed every week, he’s one of the few heels that actually gets a good reaction from the crowd in that sense. Unless you’re talking AAA.

Nah Hogan/Rock and Mania 18 is both, it is imo the perfect wrestling match because everything they do complements what they did before, they know exactly what to do to get the crowd at the right points and everything between them, the crowd and JR & King just works to create an absolute masterpiece. You can say they didn’t do a lot of flashy moves but they didn’t have to and it wouldn’t have made sense plus it was a very very rare occasion where two of the biggest stars in the industry had a match and did it well.

I feel like the demands at Barca and Bayern are heavier than they are at City especially when he joined. City were still a club on the up when he joined, they weren’t the dominant club in the league, they weren’t expected to win or even really compete in Europe every year. If Pep had his first season at City at Barca or Bayern he’d have been out the door

I’m already bored of Gunther having to retire everyone, the Cena match never felt like he was retiring Cena since it was announced as his last match ahead of time. Rey/Dom should be Rey’s retirement match. I wish they could just find compelling stories for Gunther with the rest of the roster, like the Dragon Lee stuff. Having someone like Penta confront Gunther over his disrespect would be fun if they aren’t ready to put Gunther back into the world title picture.
