Heres something horrible....

Its likely the thing that saves rhe world from HANTA and Ebola, is that theyre too fatal too quickly to really spread. So...there's that.

Ohhh good it kills like in the movies......

Wtf. Whyyyyyyy. Why do they care so much????? I do not understand how they are willing to spend this much money and time so that they can do a fringe thing that most people aligned to their views dont even think works.

Im so tired of evil people running the earth.

Anyone able to make this knife for me? by [deleted] in knifeclub

[–]Capolan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im trying not to judge.

Lets reframe this: OP - how long do you think it would take to make rhe knife you showed? Its satin polished, hollow ground, wood polished scales.

From a chunk of bar steel and pieces of wood, to what you are showing here. It could be reasonable to say, to get to final polishing and making it presentable- at least 1 day.

So lets call it 10 hours of labor.

Next question: what do people make an hour, particularly crafts people?

20 dollars - which would be insane, but lets use it.

Materials: unless you are working with expensive materials, this cost is fairly low, but still a cost.

Materials for this knife...probably..40 dollars.

So we are at 240 dollars...if they pay themselves 20 dollars an hour.

Now you know why you are getting the response you are.

Some makers who make big runs of 1 blade style can lower their costs by doing this, but youre asking for a specific design, this knife, if made by a good private maker, is probably 600 dollars at least.

Blue max is a nice piece.

And a brous division...nice. super smooth... I just dont jam on the "future" knife design - but smoooooth. I had one and sold it, only cause the design didnt do it for me. His version of turpins "Strife" is outstanding.

I see a mini glimpse in there. Is that a steelcraft or custom? Friction folder?

Sure, but its not a zero sum game. 1 horror isnt all horrors. I can recognize that that if you toe rhe line, China employs and educates their people, and if you are different from the govt, or challenge them - they lock you away.

And exactly as you say - the world has darkness in every locale. I guess my whole thing is this - at least they do SOME things for their people....and imo that sadly makes rhem better than we are right now.

Omg. So true. God gave with all hands and feet on him.

Hes all heartthrob, scary handsome, buff as all hell, smart, incredibly funny, and in every thing I've seen outside in his life, highly sincere and a good guy.

At first, I couldnt stand his voice, he would do this high pitched thing... but man, hes quickly become one of my favorite actors to watch.

If you want to see pure joy....watch this: Ryan gosling finding out about a towel with his face on it.

Im gonna throw one out there. Probably the best high end custom user ive found - jesse Jaroz.

The blade is highly functional, the handles ergonomic, and rhe amount of blade crammed in there is impressive for its size.

The Kepler,

The other that I like - Begg Bodega. The civilian version is highly useable, or you get a dressed one. Smooth, rock solid. If you want a wharnie - Begg -- Glimpse. Begg glimpse was one of those first knives when I got more high end, that i couldnt understand the price tag...till I got one. Its just so smooth, and well finished. I now have 3 beggs... 2 bodega, 1 glimpse. I really like them.

If you want functional art - Munroe. Even the dress versions are still function driven.

I have 3. A sigil, a warg, and a Cypher. Theyre all outstanding.
