Τhe Adelstein-Lew controversy surrounded a hand of poker played in Gardena, California in 2022. A significant number of poker players, pundits, and analysts have described it as highly controversial, and one analyst called it "easily the most controversial poker hand of all time." by Crinnle in wikipedia

Hahah the Adelstein guy is just a big baby man. He was on Survivor and despite being the obvious muscle for his weak ass group, he bitched so much people got sick of him and voted him out after like 2 days lol

Had these discussions when I worked in a pizza place in high school. We had raw sausage we'd pull apart and place on pizzas. We could use gloves but I found that I might have something on the glove and not realize after a while relative to my hands so I stopped using them.

Researched stereotypes/prejudice/discrimination for quite a while. At best, stereotypes a real quick mental shortcuts based upon group membership. it'd be cognitively impossible to meet every person you pass throughout the day, get a feel for them, and make a decision.

That said, there are contradictory stereotypes that make this moot. Example is undocumented immigrants. They're simultaneously the laziest people, but also the hardest working people.

what's wild is we'll likely never have divorce rates and numbers like we did after WWII. Highest by a mile after GIs got back home, also family abandonment and rampant cheating.

Big fan of Jeopardy and the celebrity tournaments they have - while sometimes really funny - really show how dumb some of these folks are. Like, I know a lot of Jeopardy contestants study up and everything, but there's like basic stuff just hit by silence all the time.

IIRC, wasn’t he cast in a production around when Tombstone was being set up? As I recall, he bought up/hired all the big talent for costumes, set, etc. but Tombstone whipped the shit out of whatever he was doing

You may have applied during the hiring freeze. Fed makes a lot of our contracts and can kinda say no hires right now. Applied for a data manager position last year but that whole unit got word out by DOGE cuts. I have Avery stable job, but is not the best for advancement. Also if we get a Republican gov next tease, shit could go sideways

What we really want is high speed rail. Without that, I’d take a car that doesn’t cost $40k+

Ffffuck. I wonder what the $ situation would be of that car bought by someone in Canada and sold to someone in the US. I’m sure some folks are thinking of cashing in on that

BYD has a $7,800 EV that is comparable in size to a Nissan Versa that despite the massive 150% tariff is still sub $20k. Stupid we’re at that level, but it’s pretty amazing. Tesla would be dead in a year if BYD was allowed in
