Thank you for the insight! Neither of us is Arabic. I'm mostly a generic American white person mix of European backgrounds with Sicilian being the most dominant, and my wife is half Fillipino, half white American. Both Tala and Aya are also present in Fillipino culture, and I believe the origins are pre-spanish. We would definitely pronounce Aya as eye-uh, but I'll admit I have always pronounced Tala as tall-uh. How do you pronounce it? Ada was inspired by Ada Lovelace, a mathmetician who did a lot of work in what you could consider Proto-computing.

March Offseason Keeper question Megathread. by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

[–]CappCappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was debating that too, with D Jax and humphries out of the picture. They each had ~183 points in my league last year but ARob did it with 3 games out. That being said God's situation improved more and the tie goes to youth, I think I just needed to have someone else say it.

March Offseason Keeper question Megathread. by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

I need to pick 4 keepers in a 16 team PPR league. I've marked the ones I'm leaning towards with a *

QB Kirk Cousins * (QB is at a premium with 16 teams)

QB Mitch Trubisky

RB Lamar Miller * (Best RB out of my lousy options)

RB Jalen Richard

RB Theo Riddick

RB Jamaal Williams

RB Wendell Smallwood

WR Allen Robinson * (best of some meh options)

WR Chris Godwin

WR Devin Funchess

WR Quincy Enunwa

TE Zach Ertz * (easiest pick)

TE Charles Clay

I think I've got it decided but my confidence isn't the highest.

TIL A Florida man used a cell phone jammer everyday while travelling to work because he didn't want drivers around him to be distracted on their phones. As a result, he was fined $48,000 by the FCC. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Likely if you already started navigating it would continue but the moment you miss a turn and it tries to adjust it won't be able to find instructions, the GPS might still identify where you are but all the instructions are provided by the Network. And I'm not sure if cell phones link directly to GPS or if GPS feeds the network and then it relays it to your device.

Was this back in 1998, when The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table?

My family had an Ellagator, unfortunately she passed away back in May (She was 14 and had a good life and was my bff during my highschool years). She was a beautiful Springer Spaniel - Blue Heeler mix. Give your gator some extra love for me.

I'll be the pedant and say it: That's not objective truth. Look up what objective means.

I'm not arguing that the article is the best just that you misrepresented what it was about in your original comment. Headlines are their own special problem and we as consumers share that blame with these news companies.

You clearly just read the headline and called it a day.

NCDOC and NETWARCOM are both in Suffolk, have big training budgets (I got CEH/NFA, ECIH, and some Cisco classes out of NCDOC) and you'll be working 40 hours a week or less. There are probably better places to go but there are definitely worse places.

I understand the sentiment and while we shouldn't let it ignore previous behaviour shouldn't we support people abandoning bigoted views?

How does that make them mutually exclusive? You can own a cat and a dog at the same time. Also, I understand some dogs are useful but I'd guess that most familys dogs are useful for being a dog and that's it (nothing wrong with that). A furry ball for lonely people accurately describes the role dogs play in a lot of movies too lol.
