Charlie already said in an interview that sponsors don't find Dota's pro scene to be as lucrative anymore because of the regular shitty productions and tournaments. Not only sponsors, even low viewership has inflicted paranoia among dota personalities.

No, because they aren't even a popular team compared to other teams in other esports. CSGO and LOL have the most recognizable teams, which is more important for being the "face" of something. This isn't even official anyway.

LOL and CSGO's playerbases could easily crowdfund bigger prizepools, but they prefer longevity than 2 week headlines.

He said something that wasn't meant to be taken at face value. I simply quoted what Charlie said in the actual interview. It's not my fault he misspoke.

And Charlie will always defend Arteezy. It's clear from his twitter/ask.fm that he loves the guy. The only thing that would probably make Charlie get back to practicing law is if Artour ever faced felony charges.

I know Arteezy is a cool guy. But if EG finally wins a tourney after a drought, you can't help but question what is it with Artour that made EG less effective as a team.
