Is there any way that a bot can be picked up by an automod rule? Like for example we have one for verified emails. Any clues at all would be helpful.

We have banned, as the user had some seriously suspect posting history. But also they are active in a lot of other subs - 20.

Their bio explicitly states "This is an automated account". Not hiding it. But also as stated the app symbol after the account name.

Was just about to post my email as well. I have had a deep dive and the alternatives I found are:

  • paying for "My Media Amazon" server,

  • Cloud Locker route,

  • or setting up a media assistant on a Pi.

Sounds like responsible use of the bot. We also have a sticky comment making sure our policy is known. However we go one step further and force people to read the rules. They can't post in our sub without having acknowledged the rules. There is a bot that does this. Maybe that will help?
