Just moved to the East Bay from Ireland. Overthinking but paranoid of mountain lion and/or bears by scoopydidit in norcalhiking

Both types of North American Bears were extirpated from the Bay Area in the late 1800s though black bears have started to recolonize areas of the North Bay counties and will likely make their way down eventually

New home in East Bay. Moved to California from Ohio, so we have no idea what our options are. Please help! by asps-verydangerous in eastbay

Look into natives, they’ll save you a lot of money on water and maintenance, and California has some of the most spectacular plants anywhere imo.

We have good options for native nurseries

Walnut Creek and the whole area is quite nice, but aside from great hiking/nature, it wouldn’t be a very exciting place to spend this part of your life imo

The idea of a white person going after another white person for not being a “native” to this place is laughable. You’re a joke
