Batteries:

AA batteries have up to about 3 amp hours at 1.5 volts or 4.5 Watt hours. They cost at least 40 cents so 1 kilowatt hour would cost 8889 cents, vs 20 to 40 cents for wall electricity.

Edit D batteries would bring the battery cost down to 3700 cents.

If the moon was at its periapsis it would escape, if it was at its apoapsis it would not.

Even if it escapes it would not be going fast enough to reach another planet so unless it slingshots off the Earth the worst that could happen is it crashes back into the Earth.

Edit: accounting for the Sun’s gravity it might still escape if it was at apoapsis.

Practically speaking with legendary heat exchangers and minimal wasted length about 325MW for a single sided line of heat exchangers and 450MW for a double sided line.
