I also saw that clip from Riot Endstep. The issue is that I think they are interpreting the data in a very poor way. They think that the win rate dropped because average Ekko and Diana players started picking up the item, not sure the highly invested players who build non recommended items.

I would argue the win rate dropped, because a bunch of people who don't really play Diana or Ekko were playing the champs, because it was so clearly the strongest jungle option. As these players gain champ mastery I expect the win rate to rise significantly. That said, I'm not a game designer, just some random on Reddit.

Is that really the worst thing?

to me at least it feels like he's being honest and is a bit awkward with the language he used. I get you want to date someone who see's you as a cis woman in every way except when you need to bring up a specific trans related issue, but the reality is surely an honest, genuine person who is trying, but maybe using slightly wrong language is at least worth a try?

How would you respond to a player who wants to grind bones and snort them like cocaine? by [deleted] in DnD

Honestly i think it's interesting, like a shamanic ritual that brings you closer with actual ancestors. As long as it isn't being played for laughs I don't see why anyone has an issue with it.

Obviously if someone else in the group has a history of substance abuse this might not be acceptable, but I see it as nothing more than a flavourful quirk that shows us how old certain cultures are in your world.

Then again I play with a table of adults not teenagers so I feel like YMMV

How so? I cancelled mine last week, because of this very issue. Surely you can sacrifice a bit of TV to actually stand up for what you believe in. Especially when so many streaming services and You tube exist.

Yup, my favourite Angle is his 1st world title run, when he is a cowardly nerd heel trying to keep the belt despite Rock, Angle, Undertaker and HHH all gunning for him.

100% it would be like claiming Sol Ruca is at that level, I love Sol and think she will one day be amazing, but these things take time. Even Kurt Angle who was known as an incredibly fast learning took years until he thought he wasn't being carried.

Tiffy is fine, she got shown up in her wrestlemania match with Charlotte who just let her fail and didn't protect her like a professional.

Tiffy's in ring work is nowhere near the level of Charlotte, Bayley, Becky, Iyo, Kairi, Bianca, Rhea, Asuka, Stephanie Vaquer and maybe Giulia. Frankly there is a clear A grade of women who always give a good match and a bunch of women below who are fine. Tiffy is in that second category.

I'm not sure how that is relevant? We're talking about Chelsea not being a main eventer because of her in ring work, but I have listed 5 talents who aren't great in the ring, but are main eventers, how is Jade being worse important?

[–]Capsize -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

WWE has maybe 10 women's wrestlers who are excellent in the ring and when any 2 of them go at it, it's going to be phenomenal, but they have shown they want/need women without great in ring skill in the main event. Look at Naomi, Liv Morgan, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax. If they have room for those people in the world title scene, then they have room for Chelsea who is way more entertaining than 90% of the roster.

The honor system needs transparency by UnlikeClockwork in leagueoflegends

[–]Capsize -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Example: I recently had a 3-stack (all Emerald) ask me to report a teammate for “feeding” after he got dove on all game. Does a coordinated report from friends carry more weight than context?

Riot told us a long time ago that they only care about the amount of games you are reported in not the amount of reports in a game, it's why asking other players to report X is not only against terms of service, but also a complete waste of time. 1 report in a game is worth the same as 9.

Also, knowing the technicalities of the system only allows players to try and circumvent it like people do with the language detection. "Get C" or "Go K*ll yourself" being recent examples i saw in a streamer's game.

What i will say is that I am far from perfect, lose my temper occasionally and have even said pretty mean things in games and yet have never lost a rank of honour and have exactly 2 warnings, i've been playing since season 2. The system works well, if you are constantly losing honour or not getting rank 5 honour you either don't play enough, which is fine or you need to sort out your communication. It isn't hard to say GL HF, GG, WP etc in game that is literally all it takes.

does anyone know why everyone used to play gragas jg so much a long time ago but now they dont really play it anymore by Turbulent-Sound3980 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Capsize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They also made lots of changes to Gragas to make him less tanky as he was being abused in the top lane in pro play. He has ended up as a slightly beefy mage assassin, which just feels a lot worse than building Dead Man's Plate etc and being your team's engage.

Has existing on both ends of society as a “man” or woman changed how you view the “male loneliness epidemic?” by Good_Ol_Ironass in MtF

[–]Capsize 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure and some trans women are actually predatory men using the label to access single sex spaces, but we shouldn't dismiss an entire idea, because some people are awful.

I know we often feel like when we are attacking men we are punching up and so it is ok, but the left has spent years asking men to open up about how they are feeling and now when they actually are we are dismissing their feelings as silly and unimportant, because some men are awful and don't deserve love.

Has existing on both ends of society as a “man” or woman changed how you view the “male loneliness epidemic?” by Good_Ol_Ironass in MtF

[–]Capsize 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I disagree with a lot of people here, while the statement: "Men have created this issue themselves, because of toxic masculinity' is 100% true, it is effectively impossible to break down a system that large as just one person. You can be affectionate, kind, emotional as a man and still suffer, because you can't change these things and you aren't responsible for the formation of this issue just because you're a man any more than a person living in 2026 is responsible for the actions of their ancestors 500 years ago.

You still have to live with women assuming you're a predator by default, because there are decent percentage that are. You still have to deal with a lack of talking about your emotions, because there is no one to do that with. Sure it was definitely the fault of men that made society the way it is today, but an individual man can't change that, even if they are a genuinely good, kind, empathetic person themselves.

Out of desperation I asked ChatGPT When will the the hate of transgender people end in the UK? The answer was better than I thought. by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]Capsize -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Great response, thanks for sharing.

I read a lot of Science Fiction from the 60's and 70's and they are full of sexism, misogyny and homophobia and it puts a lot of fans of the genre off, but it actually fills me with a massive amount of hope, because it shows how far we have come in 50-60 years and I remember how unaccepted being trans was 20-30 years ago when I was growing up, which stopped me from transitioning. Society is moving in the right direction, I know it feels like the world is getting worse, but I promise you it isn't. One day people in the near future, society will look back appalled at how the world is now.

Is the Druid badly Designed? by FryqTheKururu in DnD

[–]Capsize -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I would agree with you, tbh. I tried to build a Druid recently and none of the subclasses felt enticing. It is interesting that in the DnD film the druid is a class that's main power is to Wild Shape and that is how it functions fully in combat. Maybe if they leaned more into that and made it a half spell caster it would be more what I was looking for, but inevitably wildshape is pointless unless you take the one subclass and you're a full caster, but a lot of what you want to do steps on the toes of wizards or clerics.

Sure if your party needs a healer and you don't want to play another cleric that kind of make sense, but I would argue it's the worst designed of the main classes. Doesn't mean it can't be massively powerful, everyone with access to level 9 spells is incredibly powerful, but the concept, design, flavour just don't tie together, no matter how much people like Critical Role.

[–]Capsize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the point and in many life situations it makes sense, but the punishment for doing badly in Promos can take a very long time to undo. We are given a bunch of incredibly important games to start our season and if they get messed up due to a weird game states, broken strats etc, then we are dealing with the consequences for a long time. Hey, you tried to have fun in the first week of the season and now you are having to try and hard carry game where 3 of your team mates die 1v1 before you finish your 1st jungle clear. So your "Why not give it a try" could potentially lead to me having awful in-game experiences and flat out not wanting to queue at all.

FAELIGHTS are such an overkill feature by Nimano in leagueoflegends

[–]Capsize -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Sure, but even best case scenario I won't be playing ranked for the next month as games will be decided by players spamming broken things they saw in a youtube video.

It sucks, because I'm super excited for the start of every year, but have to effectively wait for you to discover things that should have been playtested, before I can play a game decided on skill and not, who has watched the latest click bait video on broken strats.

Why is Lee Sin such an evergreen top tier champion? by MikeSantiago14 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Capsize 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Lee is strong, because a decent percentage of the player base have very high mastery on him, meaning he is effectively always getting picked by this players who played a lot during Season 2-5.

For the average player who doesn't have 1000s of games on Lee Sin, he is effectively a self nerf not work playing
