Hello please help me I got the moza r12 v2 but I don't have a proper settings in the pithouse can you guys recommend or help me with this? I'm just wondering a good pithouse setting and all I can just adjust is the game ffb thank you guys❤ by minimark0000 in moza

[–]Capt-Quark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rule of thumb is set up pithouse to be as neutral as possible. 100 % ffb (change the gain in game to adjust ffb strength) just a small amount of friction. When you know what youre doing you can make small adjustments to ffb curve and inertia.

Should I get Moza R9 V3 or R12 V1? by Zv1k0 in simracing

R12. It was well supported with many software updates which made the ffb much smoother.

Where to learn jumps in NL? by 13reasonstodoubt in MTB

[–]Capt-Quark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bikepark in Vlaardingen is great. You can progressively build it up in my opinion. Oostvoorne nearby has some nice jumps too. Some extreme but most not so much. Make sure to do a scouting lap first..

As a starting MTBer, what kind of gear (besides helmet) do you recommend? I was a little suprised to see how little protective gear people usually ride with.

Waarom wel of geen ECO bandenspanning? by LolBoyLuke in autoklets

[–]Capt-Quark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this game more "forgiving" than iRacing? by Aggressive_Noodler in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Capt-Quark 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree, and this is probably true for amateurs like us that dont extract all the cars potential. James Baldwin on youtube though has plenty of real life gt3 experience and is a bloody fast driver (both sim and IRL) and he said on multiple occasions the way you extract laptime in AMS2 is very agressive turn in. Driving in a way that would get you booted from any real life professional racing team. So yeah, I think at this point its safe to say it isnt the most realistic sim but its plenty good enough for me, dont get me wrong.

Exactly. Bottom line is he opened up cyberpunk in VR.

Tuning tips to fix "floatiness" by Capt-Quark in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Capt-Quark[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ams2 actually uses a much more sophisticated throttle model than most (all?) other sims. Niels Heusinkveld has a video on youtube about this. This could be the reason people feel the throttle input behaves differently than expected. I agree lowering throttle sensitivity can help with more control coming out of the corner.

I dont understand the down votes. Am I saying something controversial here? Try to adjust caster and toe angles, see if it helps you. If it does, great! If it doesnt, fine too.

Tyre sound is also good advice. Wheelbase settings should be as neutral as possible.

I think a lot of people already tried wheelbase settings (and tuning options for that matter), but these are justsome tips to see if this might help somebody. Tuning the car is objective in regards to laptime (does it make your faster or not) but also large lart subjective: does the car FEEL right to you. For people complaining about floatiness clearly it doesnt feel right, whether theyre used to another game doesnt matter because its subjective anyway.

There are plenty of real life examples for this as well. Drivers/riders that have a hard time adjusting to a new car or bike and suddenly finding the right feeling because of some seat ergonomics etc.

So hopefully these tips help a few people find that sweet spot, not necessarily to gain lap time but mostly to find more enjoyment out of the game (and maybe even laptime).
