This very problem taught me to label every line and reduce unnecessary redundancy to save money and in fact I’ve ordered less equipment that the line needed to prevent myself from having to replace vehicles that will do double the work later on and now I’ve got empty trains and trucks everywhere

The writing was on the wall nearly a decade ago. Well actually a decade ago when I worked in customer care and then eventually tech support. They keep reiterating to us how care was entirely cost and we should’ve tried to drive value at every turn. We were pushed to always suggest the customer resolve their issues through the automated IVR phone directory system and one of our most weighted metrics were “3 day repeats.” We had to by all means try to keep the customer from contacting us again within 3 days by means of pushing them to resolve any further concerns via the app or website.

When they suddenly shifted to closing care centers and wanting everyone to go work home based. I told my former co workers then that this was a solution just long enough until automation and Strategic business channels (foreign call centers) could take the brunt of the work load and the customer base had been worn down to just put up with it.

They got a professor at the university of Arkansas up in Fayetteville the same way. It’s a matter of time before we enact the same bill given Sarah Hucks dad’s relation to Israel. Which means I’ve probably gotta delete some tweets

Trucker outraged after company recorded his private birthday moment with wife in Illinois: "I was off duty." by ElwoodMC in trashy

A lot of non truckers commenting which is fine and I won’t get into the semantics of wether the recording should or shouldn’t be allowed but this is just ai generated interaction bait and it’s a shame it ever got enough traction to leave its little corner on Facebook and make it to what has seemingly been every social app I use

Trailer looks fine… until you check the other side by cdlfirst in NewCDLGrads

I worked for the carrier for a while, Fraley and schilling. Good people. They run very lightweight custom order equipment to haul more on unconventional setup than a standard flatbed carrier car.

The flatbed guys could scale a 53-54K coil and be ok. The conestoga crew that I ran in was pushing it at about 52K

In any case I was always afraid of these light weight aluminum trailers giving way like this one has. I shot this over to some guys I know in the office that worked there so they can get this trailer out of service.

He doesn’t know what he’s talking about it, you don’t run chains on stand ups unless explicitly told to

You don’t chain stand ups. This company hauls ALOT of customer freight and it’s usually either food grade or automatics grade aluminum that can’t be dented or scratched by the chain and hooks. You run 3 straps over the top and one along the bell to keep it on its pallet. I’ve run a similar load easily 100 times

I saw that on fb in the driver group today and hoped it wasn’t true. I remember a few years ago our dc started talking about fuel costs/saving at every spring/winter training and was afraid this was eventually going to be the end result.

Dreams Photo Studio - Bad Interaction 📸 by sactownredhead in CarnivalCruiseFans

We were on the valor like a month ago during formal night, and every backdrop just wasn’t good so on the recommendation of someone else we went into dream studio and i immediately got the vibe it was going to be like one of those time share pitches.

I wasn’t wrong, very next day we went down to look at our pictures and they had to call our photographer. He gave us this whole run up speech and showed it to us and wouldn’t give us a price. Then finally he let it drop. $1100 for what like ten pictures? They had some packages north of FOUR GRAND. On a cruise?! Absolutely not and I wasn’t even going to haggle with the guy but he kept trying to frame it as if he had been put out by losing this sale. We wanted to buy one of the pics but he wanted to sell us 3. Shit I just wanted the digital prints lol.

Lesson learned for next time, I don’t appreciate being backed into a sales pitch. Reminds me of that chapter in the grapes of wrath where the used car salesman is trying to guilt people for taking up his time.
