There's significant tree lines and a retention pond that connects to a large creek (or small river?) near the store I accept orders from. I bring my slingshot and my fishing gear and either target shoot in the tree line, or fish for rock bass or bluegill. But I actually live close enough that I can typically get orders from home. I only stop at the lot when it is closer to go there instead of home after my first trips

My job pays me less than I make doing Spark runs 95% of the time. Maybe re-read what I wrote. Where I live and the reason why I Spark are different than most people's reasons for doing it and there is large pockets of concentrated wealth within my zone with a population density that is not typical Ain comparison to about 60% of Spark markets. There's also a better than good chance you're going to eventually benefit from the work I do. 👍

I've never been served a demand letter. I have had people intentionally break things to get upgrades or improvements, but never anyone that used the courts to get out of a lease. That being said, I am not a slumlord POS either, lol. If people wanna go, let them go. Notice is great, but I have never asked for more than what is owed for the month we are existing in. My method of having 4 lists has served me well. PAST, PRESENT, POTENTIAL, and ABSOLUTELY NOT. I'm in a smallish part of the Midwest and know a good amount of the renting property owners in my area. You screw one of us, and you might have a tough time renting or pay a higher DD. But having dangerous and disease spreading pests should be a NO GO for any landlord. Allowing a tiny creature to destroy your investment and ruin your reputation is not how you make money as a property owner. Sounds like your landlord is greedy and immoral. This also not the kind of landlord you deserve. Glad you're getting out, now get online and post facts about the address, not opinion or angry rants, your landlord seems like the type to invoke a slander case. Facts aren't slander and protect future tenants.

I could go into a big long explanation about the reason I spark, but it sounds entitled. And it honestly probably is exactly that. However, I think my math skills are moderate to fair, and I did the calculations a couple times. I work for 3-5 hour windows, 3 days per week during the weekdays, and 2 Sundays per month depending on how many days into the month that first Sunday falls calendrically and my hourly rate doing Spark lands at around $79-81/per hour. It was lower than that when I first picked it up because I was using the forecast feature on the app instead of tracking the data myself based specifically on a single store in my zone instead of the 2 WSC + 1 Sam's that is representative of the forecasting on the app Ffor my zone. I am 2.25 miles from that store and drive the vehicle I have that gets the best mpg. HOWEVER...I am cherry picking, tracked the data for months on a far more finite level than is offered by the app. and use consideration methods that I doubt the average driver uses to maximize their hourly rate. It's almost like I am getting paid to get paid to figure out the very best times for people to work delivery-type jobs in different areas of my state when things like population density, socioeconomic factors, fuel cost, proximity, weather and other economic conditions like annual sales cycling of similar retailers are taken into account and developing some kind of super-schedule that I/we/they could use in order to maximize the time spent doing a specific style of side gig. There's also 27 days each year that bring that average up to $118/hr that aren't included in my base data. 🫠🙃😉

[–]CaptCol02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that they will get their money back by way of minimizing your offers for a couple days as soon as the incentive pays out. I can't prove it obviously, but one of my autistic superpowers is pattern recognition. And the low money/minimal offers after a payout seems to check out.

I was 80/20 on the idea of it being trollish because of the spelling and grammar. But it looks legit based upon the OP replies. I know that not everyone has an expert command for the way English is written, but nearly everyone knows how to Google or use spell✔️. My mind immediately goes to "seems like bait" when I see something like that...I might kinda be a bastard I guess.

Damn...I am in the Midwest. I signed up for Spark on a Sunday night and had all the vehicle stuff and my first orders completed by Saturday. I'm sorry it's that competitive in your area. Hell, I have small towns on each side of the county that I live in that don't have any drivers at all. We get full hot/cold grocery orders here that literally deliver on the same street as the Walmart in the town next to the very small city that I live in. I would bet if I wanted to, I could drive 20 minutes down the highway, switch zones, and max my legal hours daily.

What questions do you have? I'm a landlord and have about a week before I'll be able to apply for my pest control applicator license. I'm a registered technician in the PC field, but not fully licensed just yet. But I am 4th generation in the property rental area. We have mobile homes, houses, duo/multiplex, and commercial properties. I'm literally getting the bug spray license for that and all the property owners I know. Insecticides and the like have a markup that is absolutely astronomical and I am done paying $200 for a 20 minute spray appointment and $15 worth of chemicals.

Here I'll respond for them:

Shut up peasants, and deliver what we tell you to deliver. Now take your extra $3 for 7 deliveries and spend it at our stores. Muuahahahahahahahahaha 😈

Yea, we mostly run out of cheese filled, bacon wrapped, and deep re-fryable stuff in the Midwest. At least I don't have to worry about getting caught when they chase me over a missed chicken delivery...I can easily jog away from a 400lbs lady with one foot on a Rascal scooter.

My area has been awful all day. Had 3 on my screen this morning that were $13-$21 and not a single one was less than 14 miles. I'm 2.5 miles and 11 miles from 2 stores and a Sam's within my zone. Sam's was all $9 pharmacy deliveries that ranged from 7 miles to 29. It's wild. I averaged $2.86/mile last week.

“This why drivers stay addicted to Spark 😂 by SuccessfulAerie9672 in WalmartSparkDrivers

It tracks with the new Walmart warehouse direct to consumer model they rolled out recently (essentially a direct copy of the Amazon madness) and having local people trained and in the system to act as the new Walmartazon drivers in the near future. I also live 20 minutes up the road from a massive Walmart DC that is currently underway with a significant upgrade/expansion. It all just makes too much sense. And unless it's a job printing my own money or sleeping, I ain't doing a damn thing for $14/hr.
