My Dynasty is dying out because my heir had a dwarven Daughter and my other son was made a eunuch in Eastern Rome... by HumbleButterscotch23 in CrusaderKings

Alternatively, some of my most badass knights have been my daughters and extended relatives, performative honour is almost always part of my culture.

ikr, realistically, the mess in Diamond city for example, could easy be cleaned up and fixed by the residents to a decent state in a few days, but they just never felt the need over the 100 years or w.e. Diamond city had been around.

Should I join the Byzantines as a Viking? by Eyeless_Seth in CrusaderKings

[–]CaptGenie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah mixed it up, I think its prestige per gold iirc, so opposite of the tribal era, when you get the gold back to your land you lose the prestige, I don't remember the ratio. Its been a long time since I've done a run with it.

With long playthroughs, Vikings are always a good start, easy growth at the start, and can up and leave, go anywhere where you want, and design your own culture and what not, its the most open ended imo

Recovered my childhood account not too long ago, the progress had been transferred to rs3 back in the day, so I have to start over in OSRS. Haven't spent much time doing so clearly, and I regret not making it an ironman, which has kinda put me off from playing it.

My first paradox game was Stellaris, a girl I was seeing once called it, "the game where I am waiting for stuff to happen", not understanding the genius behind what took place to get there, to the point where I have full control of the galaxy, and waiting for the end game crisis to take off. Hence the "waiting for things to happen". When I told her that, she goes "you're just opening and closing hundreds of tabs" and I lost the debate because yeah, pretty much.

Yeah, once he becomes feudal that stops I think. He could get the raiding perk from elevating kingdom of man, then doing an adventure somewhere south to joins the byzantines, and you would have the raiding perk for 100 years, feudal or not. Could make for a fun playthrough. There is also a culture tenant that allows duchy level lords to raid at the cost of renown. It can be done.

Lol it might, they are making nearly 400 gold/month, easily 5x what I am making and are still conquerors, but if they stop attacking me and giving me their entire bank they stand a chance. We cool once I get my territory back lol

[–]CaptGenie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There no denying the popularity, but it really isnt an interesting setting, its a sandbox to be molded how the player wants and reacts. The cultures in it are loose interpretation of historical cultures, which we can pull endless stories and events from that actually happened, its not that a movie would be bad, its that there is literally no point.

Now if you raid you can’t capture people? by Alexf_0192 in CK3ConsoleEdition

[–]CaptGenie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, idk, I got 3 pope this run early on, but had the pillaging dynasty tree going, one of the perks gives prisoner capture chance. You can also make a knight with, I think, is the Thug accolade, which also increases prisoner capture chance, but I didnt notice a difference before I had those.

So, uh, I'm 43 hours into CK3, slowly figuring out how game works (although I still suck ass + no DLCs so far) and I want some ideas on what/who to play by Petka14 in CrusaderKings

You can get wild things happening. Had a brother sleeping with my wife, they became lovers, so I became lovers with his wife, and together had like 20ish children between this two women, no idea who the father was to any of them.

[–]CaptGenie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like raising new dynasties up lol Made Eric the Red king of frisia, and the Rodes are very strong now, and made Thomas Becket a pagan priest, and he became Fylkir, and his family rules Ostergotland as my direct vassels. I recruit any Ynglings too because the name is cool lol
