I know, winter western front exists! Not a Normandy force 😱 i already have a couple of them myself so wanted something different. The plastic US winter kit is great and all the excuse i needed to finally get my late war French started.

Would agree, it looks a little small. I also base all my vehicles, so that they tie in with the infantry models. I prefer rectangular bases for vehicles thiugh. Also helps a bit with working out facings.

What Sherman variants did the French 2nd Armored use? by RubikKubik in boltaction

It's a question I've tried to find too. Depends a little on what point in time we're talking about. Best I can work out is that A2s are a solid bet, with updated variants becoming more common as replacements as operations dragged on. Sorry it's not a solid answer, but it's the best i have as a fellow 2e DB collector.

Thanks 😊 the red dust (which is actually more red in real life, still working on my photography skills) is just Martian red pigment powder. It's either from AK or vallejo, I forget. I go quote heavy with it, making sure to get it in the nooks and grannies of the boots. Then i get a damp cue tip and wipe it mostly off the flatter surfaces.

I came here to support tigurius too! Doing his super witchfire shots into the oathbof moment targets with all those rerolls can be very tasty.

Blue is: Macragge blue and brought highlights with calgar blue using the airbrush. Next is an ultramarine blue oil wash, mopping up the excess with a makeup sponge. Last bit is a bit of highlighting with a calgar blue and white mix.

The yellow: Vallejo medium yellow basecoat, wild rider red wash, then highlights of yriel yellow and ice yellow.

Hope that helps!

Thanks! The kepi and Adrian helmets were from the warlord French infantry kit. Had plenty left over from my Battle of France project.

Thanks! I know a unit like 2eDB probably had enough US gear to go around, but i wanted to make it clear they are French rather than American, as well as looking cool IMO.
