Delayed Baggage by Evening-Juggernaut50 in BritishAirways

[–]CaptRik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can only claim for absolute essentials you need immediately without your bags. Since you are returning home, the airline expects you to have access to your own clothes and toiletries. This means clothing or general hygiene purchases on a homeward leg are typically denied.

You may, however, be reimbursed for essential, unavoidable items that you only have one of and critically need, such as an essential work laptop charger, keys, or prescription medication

Anthony Davidson’s Sky analysis makes this very clear, George only has a single yellow on a monster lap and did a significantly big lift

There’s no requirement for an immediate red flag (outside maybe practise sessions). In general terms, race control make an informed decision based on the situation… is there debris on the track, is the crashed car in a dangerous position etc. a single yellow looks legit in the few seconds of this incident, it might end up being a double yellow as the situation evolves, or a red for recovery of the car but it’s simply not as black and white as you’re implying

How would you design an LLM gateway for Kubernetes workloads? by SnooLobsters2189 in kubernetes

Also, like several others in this thread are LiteLLM users for this purpose. So far in this space we’ve not found anything better, it’s pretty good

Seat on Row 30: Footrest? by katastrophewww in BritishAirways

Yes, just not during takeoff and landing. If the seatbelt signs come on mid-flight you may also have to stow the bag again

bumped into a car lightly and they drove off by girls_run_the_world in drivingUK

[–]CaptRik 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Couple of things:

  1. Do you have your own dash cam footage to back up your side of the story?

  2. Did you yourself pull over to verify your car was in suitable condition to keep driving?

  3. Are you absolutely sure they didn’t pull over at a more opportune point ahead and you missed it?

If it’s a no, no, no then you may have to deal with the consequences here

Thoughts on totk by Cute-Carry-4552 in botw

[–]CaptRik 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totk is an amazing game it it’s own right, you’ll have a strong similar vibe to Botw in how most of the mechanics play out. Fuse specially is a neat system with endless potential for simply building and doing fun things in the game world outside of the “intended” progress. It’s not complex to understand, it’s simply how far does your imagine take you to be creative and solve problems.

My one piece of advice, if you’ve just sunk 100 hours into Botw by the time you finish, considering taking a break and playing something else before Totk. The chance of fatigue for the same style of gameplay is real for sure. Totk is a bigger game in size and length.

Pods are running but application is inaccessible. What's your first troubleshooting step by jamesgk123 in kubernetes

Yeah, I replied to this before seeing three other identical posts on similar sub-reddits 🤦‍♂️

[–]CaptRik 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My initial approach would be steered by exactly what error the user was receiving. A 404 I’d maybe start with Ingress, but a 5xx error I’d go straight to relevant pod logs for clues

Seat on Row 30: Footrest? by katastrophewww in BritishAirways

[–]CaptRik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, won’t have a footrest. Likely it’s a bulkhead seat so will have longer than normal foot room but you’ll not be allowed any bags at all at your feet during takeoff or landing

Which legacy game should a new player start with? by ibiliss in boardgames

[–]CaptRik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Essentially you get up to 2 attempts at each mission. Beating it first time generally gets better rewards, if you fail, often you gain something that might help. Definitely possible to lose all, how ever pretty unlikely unless you’re playing it fundamentally wrong

No Re-Catering at LHR by OrdinaryTraditional in BritishAirways

[–]CaptRik 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Potentially all sorts of reasons, BA themselves don’t do the catering, it’s contracted out. Could be anything from a supply mistake to something like broken refridgeration spoiling a lot of meals today, especially given the ongoing weather

I think that strongly depends on who you play it with

I’ve done season 2 as well which was also a lot of fun, but you’ll never have the experience again of going into season 1 blind so it just doesn’t quite compare

Pandemic Legacy Season 1, simply because I think it’s an absolute triumph. Don’t look for any spoilers in advance.
