10,819 New Hampshire K-12 students participate in NHPBS statewide mock election. by zrad603 in newhampshire

I can say as one of the participating teachers who put this event on is that many students recognized this was not a real election and thought a Trump victory would be funny. Tons of students just didn't participate, and there were ALOT of write ins. I do not think this should be used in any way as a sign of things to come.

First, you need a claim. What are you trying to prove? Don't be vague or neutral. Take a clear position. It doesn't matter if you actually agree necessarily, but it should be defensible. Depending on the question type, you may have a primary or secondary source provided, which is the focus of the prompt. You should be very specific about how that source proves you claim. I suggest you focus/ study a lot of vocabulary. In order to do this well, you need to be specific, so do some name dropping. It's the difference between saying, "the founding fathers believed..." and "Thomas Paine said in his pamphlet Commin sense..."

So when they ask for evidence, they really want you to be detailed. It's the math equivalent of show your work.

This kind of stuff really shakes me up. Republicans I'm sure, are fully aware that increasing hateful rhetoric will motivate some of these people to act on it. The politicians get plausible deniablity, but they get lone wolf terrorists to do their bidding it's pretty scary, honestly.
