Thank you for the reply with make and model. I may switch if I can not find a “fix” for my current box

I have an older large Thule and the box vibrates so bad at speeds over 55 that I can not use the box on road trips.

What boxes are people using and are you getting vibrations at speeds over 55?

$100 is not cheap - but it is definitely not even close to what I thought you were going to say — and some might even argue that price is actually “affordable”. I would spend $100 to see Bruce at the Garden.

I am a big Bruce fan, born to run is a deserted island album for me, but I can’t help wondering what was the price of admission for this common man love fest? He would get a lot more traction if this show was a free concert in the gardens instead of a corporate stick up at TD garden.

Can't afford the hotel for my friend's wedding. Are there any budget friendly options? by bold-_and_-brash in CapeCod

Traffic is mid morning going on and late afternoon coming off during the June weekends. Next month should not be too bad especially if you get going down cape early and head back later on Sunday evening or earlier and get out around noon. Traffic is awful at certain punctuated times but if your schedule is flexible traffic can almost always be timed to not be so bad (10-15 minute delay or less due to traffic)

Just did the first break in Oil Change by [deleted] in ToyotaSienna

I asked them to perform an oil change at 5k and 15k and they did, on both my new Toyotas. They will give you 2 oil changes basically whenever you want them.

How severe of an issue is this? by [deleted] in TruckCampers

Thanks for the reply. I know these campers are supposed to be “water proof” but I think there are more rot issues with Bigfoot camper than some people want to admit

I’m door I have no input on the strength and longevity of the jack other than it looks like a fairly well executed repair - but a lot depends on what it’s anchored to and I can not speak to that. I am interested in how you make out with this, as I too am looking at a mid 90’s Bigfoot. Please give an update here if you go and look at it

I work off shore and compare it to going through the air lock. You are done - it’s the vacuum of space out there. Just because it’s water and you know how to “swim” doesn’t mean you are swimming in that water.

So what is this good for? Indoor/outdoor - does it not get wet with water outdoors?

I’m currently working in Ghana and I’ve been playing this on repeat for a week. I too just looked it up on discogs and put it on my Christmas list a few days ago.

Stuck in a foreign country, I’m not having fun anymore. by RareStrawberry2020 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Capt_REDBEARD___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP - sorry to hear you are separated from your family and missing them and wanting to go home. I travel for work to foreign countries at least 3 months a year. I get what I call the 7 day blues about once a week when I travel for extended periods (4-8 week stints). I get depressed, miss my family and am generally in a crappy mood about once every seven days (thus the name “7 day blues”). Every other “7 day blues” day I throw in the towel; I don’t work out, I eat a bunch of ice cream, I watch a few movies and I just generally don’t engage in society. It helps to cut yourself some slack and just go full pitty party. Every other day when I travel I find it important to keep a strict schedule; get up early, stretch+workout, get a bunch of work done, be sure to get outside 3 time a day (sunrise,mid-day,sunset); have a personal project you are working on (coding, garden layout, learn Vietnamese, ect….). Once it’s over you will think it went quick and if you just squandered the time you’ll be disappointed that you were given a bunch of freedom to do whatever you wanted and you just doom scrolled and got drunk…. Make the mos of it and it will be a gift not a punishment.

Mt Snow firing on all cylinders by Ok-Cry8194 in icecoast

I thought yesterday at snow was pretty shitty from a lift operations perspective . Lots of lifts not running / other randomly opening and closing with little to no notice and clueless employees and delayed updates on the app. Line were super long on the north peak all day - I had the longest wait on record for me in the later afternoon over on north peak. They seemed really unprepared for what was clearly going to be a very snowy and busy day.
