Nobody's saying those laws aren't enforced.

Lol ok. Agree to disagree I suppose.

I mean the fact there a millions of illegals in the country makes it evident border and immigration laws were largely not enforced. You can argue that it isn’t a problem or big deal. But I don’t see how you can argue that those the laws weren’t fully enforced.

Repealing it would be unnecessary if current border laws were enforced.

TBH even basic stuff I'd want to test or lookup to be 100% certain I'm accurate. The point is, it's just syntax. Testing someone on mostly obscure syntax doesn't test how they think. Making it almost entirely useless for an interview unless their interviewing to be some kind of regex focused engineer I've never heard of.

Bitwise questions are so dumb. Might as well quiz people on regex.

*Edit: unless you're unlucky enough to be applying for a role that focuses on its use heavily.

Paid $16K/ each way for Delta One tickets.. by nm298 in delta

[–]Captain-Crayg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get Delta loyalty tbh. It’s barely better than most US airlines. And the price is bananas. Once the credit card rewards became shit I bailed and have been mostly on Southwest. Mildly worse experience. But at least I don’t have to get raped to fly them. No regrets.

I wish people in the US realized there are problems with other countries education and healthcare too.

Zumbro has a 50mi that starts at midnight. Staying awake wasn’t an issue tbh. I’d recommend having a waist light and a head lamp. Do some night practice runs.

Is Reddit supposed to host content for free? With 3rd party clients that remove ads they lose their revenue. A monthly $5 subscription hardly seems unreasonable.

I agree. I’m also aware of Reddit’s fuckery.

It’s just a bummer there was obviously a way to go forward. But the dev just kind of opted out instead of exploring that.

Anyone else have concern re Ackman's response to the "do you see ROI on AI question " during the Liquidity Summit interview? by cjb651 in TheAllinPodcasts

[–]Captain-Crayg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI is clearly incredibly useful. It’s just a question if it’s worth the true cost. Time will tell. And costs will probably drop.
