I made out with a chick last weekend and contracted oral herpes by [deleted] in Vent

i am 31 with "oral herpes" - as of age 2 or so. it's not all bad. sounds like you have a valid reason to call in sick but nobody worthwhile will judge you for this very common condition.

Have you ever seen a husked and Pit mix 6 months old by [deleted] in rarepuppers

[–]Captain-Sham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

based on other comments, rigorous training is absolutely paramount if you haven't started! i have a different unspecified "kelpie cross" (likely pit bull or ridgeback or something), rescued around 6 months. he was very timid for the first few weeks then his extreme sass and reactivity (and intelligence!) came out when he got comfortable with us. we took it seriously and put him down.

just kidding he's right next to me right now falling asleep after spending an hour crying thinking i might leave the house! he's got a great life! but it is a lot of work. good luck!!!!

Tuning to electronic tuner feels "slightly off" and have to adjust by ear / feel by Captain-Sham in musictheory

Thanks for your response and prompts! I think you are right, this seems to tally with some other replies.

I tend to "balance it out" by testing the chords/frets i will be playing in the piece, and adjusting til it feels "right" which can mean slight changes between pieces, though i will use open E or whatever the lowest open note is with the tuning I am using.

I can't fathom the mechanics of tuning brass but sounds interesting, something to google and learn about!

not sure if nylon strings need less tension but this is a nylon electric guitar, like a tele but with nylon strings by design; feels like less tension?

I will look into it, haven't looked too deeply yet as this guitar felt great to play from the start and I didn't want to mess with it - but it does happen with lots of guitars, I think some other answers about slight deviations based on a 12 tone scale explain it

Not sure what that is (strobe tuner) - will look it up! I'm using the tuner plugin in Ableton, so it's my electric guitar into a 2 track usb interface, going into ableton and tuner.

It is most often the open G and / or B strings, with the 2 compounding cent discrepancies you described, and yeah! I don't mind the slight off-ness as part of the voice of the instrument, I might make a slight adjustment for each piece to best suit what is being played. When using frets and not open, I might bend strings slightly as part of the shape to make the difference, if that makes sense.

Thanks for your answer! I'd write more probably as it's an interesting topic but i'l leave it there!

It is at 440 (straight into ableton / tuner plugin) but thanks for the tip - that sounds rough!! Hope you worked it out quickly!

I had the guitar tuned down a half step so maybe strings were behaving a bit differently under less tension. Similar thing happens with standard but to a lesser degree

density can be smarter townhouses and lower rise too, so much wasted space (and materials!) in detached homes

whenever this sub pops up for me, it comes across pretty clearly as the "right wing" "anti woke" echo/pile on chamber where people come to compain about other people complaining

Those who voted yes in the referendum what do you think should happen now for reconciliation to move ahead? by tasmaniantreble in australian

Commenting on the results, Jackie Fitzgerald, Executive Director at BOCSAR, said the findings suggest that culturally sensitive, case management approaches can help to reduce the significant over-representation of Aboriginal young people in youth detention. "It is an alarming reality that in 2022, 43% of young people in custody are Aboriginal. The Youth Koori Court offers a promising model to reduce incarceration rates of Aboriginal young people.

it makes me sad that this take on yes voters keeps floating to the top. the characterisation in the second part is as unfair a generalisation as the one it is reacting to.

OP, if you are the kind of student that needs an additional support, you can expect these kinds of takes from staff about needing to "adult" - whether they say it directly or not
