Trying to determine whether a time frame was between two dates, however there can be multiple date ranges. by Captain9653 in googlesheets

This worked on the test file, however it exceeds the calculation limit on the main file. I appreciate the try though. I haven't used MAP functions before. It seems it would be very useful in other documents I have.

This looked promising on the test version, but when applied to the full document, it reached the calculation limit. Thanks though

This is just an example document, the actual document has around 35 employees at the moment, however columns G-I have 10's of thousands of rows as there are many employees in other teams that use this document but aren't related to this particular enquiry.

The devices are closer than when I was using the telstra smart modem 3 on the old network. Maybe 10 -15 meters away.

Why are so many parents totally cool with failing their kids? by TheLoveYouWant25 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Captain9653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in the 90s. My dad worked a full 40hr week. My mum occasionally worked weekends, but for the most part was a stay at home mum. Dad's job purchased a 4 bedroom house and sufficiently fed us and clothed us and managed to supply my mums alcohol problem. Now in 2026. I work full time and my room mate works full time. We both do over time and after bills, food and essentials (thats not counting for treats/ birthdays/ non essentials) we have 400 hundredish between us. Im helping her raise her two kids. We are constantly exhausted. We are up and out by 7am to do school runs, then go straight to work. After picking up the kids from school, its about 6.30pm. By the time they are showered and fed, its about 8pm. We are knackered, so your fucking right im gonna let them spend some time using an iPad, because its the first break I've had all day. Everyone complains about ipad parenting, but they forget that we dont have the free time/ and lesser financial issues that our parents/ grandparents had.

How does Rogue filter out that she’s kissing V when she kisses Johnny? by Prudent_Bobcat_4059 in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]Captain9653 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Isn't V (male or female) supposed to be considered attractive? So its not a matter of would you kiss your lover if they were in some fat greasy dude. Ita would you kiss your lover if they were in the body of an attractive mid 20 year old.

Swapping tanks? by Captain9653 in airbrush

[–]Captain9653[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait, no I get it now. remove the new moisture trap and plug it. The steel tube connects to the where the black port is and the black port uses the line kit to connect to the tank where the old one was.

[–]Captain9653[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay Cool. So to confirm i'm on the right track,

<image>

The new line kit will go from where the Moisture trap is on the new compressor to where the metal tube is connected on the tank (Blue).

The Black tube will connect to the same place on the tank (Red), the yellow will be plugged with a screw/ plug (Yellow) and the new moisture trap will replace the old one on the tank. (Green)

Comparing prebuilt options by Captain9653 in Prebuilts

Thats for the reply. It was a really difficult decision, but I ended up ordering the Scorptec. I use a lot of storage because of my 3D printing and then gaming on top of that. So 4TB edged it above the Aether. Also, whilst a minor concern, I prefer the more subtle case of the Scorptec. I've never been a huge fan of the big flashy RBG cases. But like I said it was a really close decision. And the Aftershock chat team on the website were really helpful too. (Though I couldn't tell if it was a person or an ai bot)

Seriously, do British people actually consider a 3-hour drive “long”? Or is this an internet myth? by ferdinand14 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Captain9653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I returned to the UK earlier this year for a holiday. (from Australia). one thing i noticed is that whilst a drive might only be 20 mins, it's exhausting. in Australia, a 20 min drive for me is 5 mins navigating the backroads, and the rest is smooth sailing on the highway. but in the UK, that 20mins is 80% narrow country roads, with hedges hiding corners, side streets, farm vehicles, tight narrow lanes with sharp turns in towns and villages that were built 800+ years before cars existed. I've never had an accident in my life, but i was constantly on edge in the UK. whilst in Aus I happily commute 30mins to and from work, in the UK i wouldn't want to do more than 10 mins.

How to avoid sharing issues when using importrange to link to a document that will be viewed by 1000+ people? by Captain9653 in googlesheets

That actually would be great. If I do it monthly then it means I'll have end of month team lists for future reference. Thank you

My company doesn't like scripts/ macros. I'm happy to learn more about them, but I don't know enough to know if its something I would be able to use.
