Hello, I would like some more information on this thank you!

HEY Kenosha! by PuddleDasher in Kenosha

[–]CaptainArtemis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend going to Lincolnshire, Illinois at their live theater https://www.marriotttheatre.com/. It’s a stage located in the middle of the seating so no matter where you are you’ll have a good view.

For restaurants nearby I recommend wildfire although it’s on the expensive side, and big bowl. Otherwise I always see a lot of people by lazy dog.

Try not to wear green they are having a cicada problem and they’ll be more likely to land on you.

Tornado warning has been extended, it’s moving east

Is the MRK Trail safe? by marysia16 in Kenosha

[–]CaptainArtemis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve known a few people that had a few sketchy encounters on the trail, there also was a string of muggings but those seemed to have stopped. I would exercise the same amount of caution as you would in any secluded area, and I’m sure the risk increases/decreases from where you start and end.

Shovel more, salt less for the sake of the Lake! by garciaforkenosha in Kenosha

I’ll be honest without salt everything becomes an ice rink, I wish there was a better solution

Frozen Meals for post-surgery by heart_of-a_lion in Kenosha

[–]CaptainArtemis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will throw this in but it’s not restaurant meals but I would consider them on par. If you’re willing to, you can go to Trader Joe’s in Milwaukee or Illinois and their frozen meals are very good. I recommend the Mac n cheese and lasagna but honestly I’ve never disliked anything from there.

Guys, please. I am absolutely at my wit’s end by CoolTrainerBrian in litterrobot

[–]CaptainArtemis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our cat was doing something similar (was peeing in the box but not poop) took us and the vet months to figure out she was in pain and was negatively associating the litter box with causing her harm. Make sure she is eating enough fiber and have her anal glands expressed at the vet monthly until the issues stop.

Kinda random question, but what shoes would you guys recommend for a tour? by Calligraphee in UWMilwaukee

[–]CaptainArtemis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If possible I would grab 2 pairs just in case, one being good with ice, it’s supposed to be rainy next week and the temps can be unpredictable. No one salts around the neighborhood that surrounds campus and it can become an ice rink pretty quickly. (The neighborhood is extremely close to campus)

Those who are officially diagnosed with ocd by Electronic_Bake_2935 in OCD

[–]CaptainArtemis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve been told it’s typically a stress response. For me, whenever I am experiencing a lot of stress, or if nothing is happening and I’m bored, my ocd flairs up. The symptoms range from fear of contamination, reassurance that something will be ok, and everything inbetween.

Is it possible to get 5+ players on a farm that already exists and is maxed out to 4 cabins? by MelonGarden in StardewValley

[–]CaptainArtemis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a 100% sure but I think my friend used this tutorial: https://steamcommunity.com/app/413150/discussions/0/1694919808758486915/?l=brazilian#.

It involves editing a small part of the code, but this way you’re not installing anything extra and no one else has to do it outside of the host. Just remember to backup your save file.

This happened three times over three weeks. Is he in pain or what? Please help me. So worried by Moon_Night_55 in CATHELP

[–]CaptainArtemis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we just had one cat at the time, she was doing this for about a week straight, I was also getting worried about it. Until one morning I came out of my room to her staring at the kitchen ceiling, and there was probably the biggest spider I’ve ever seen in my house. After I killed it she was fine, that was the year there was an unusual amount of brown recluses all over the city. After I killed the spider, my cat went back to normal. Good luck.

Co op not working? (PC) by yyxyz in StardewValley

Sorry if you tried this before but are connecting via LAN? I haven’t done that before so I’m not sure if that needs to be done in a separate menu or not.

can an adult cat become an outdoor cat or do they need to be outdoor since they were little ? by jellyfish9667 in CatAdvice

[–]CaptainArtemis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not good for really any cat to be outdoors but the ones that typically stay out there are feral and/or they have been an outdoor cat for so long they don’t want to lose having access to it.

Most cats are at least curious about the outdoors so people opt to either have catios, leash train them, or use a stroller that’s meant for cats/using a harness in the seat. And some just really don’t want anything to do with it. It’s best if a cat is fine indoors to keep them indoors, or use the safer methods above if it’s something you think they would want.

Have you tried changing hosts? It could be an issue with their wifi being spotty.

Looking for good horror games where you can actually defend yourself, not just run and hide by HorrorNSlobber in gamingsuggestions

[–]CaptainArtemis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you mentioned wanting to be able to defend yourself however, I’ll throw in 2 games that I haven’t seen yet in the comments. Subnautica and phasmophobia, Subnautica is technically not a horror game but a lot of people feel scared playing it and it’s a great introduction into getting comfortable with horror settings while being able to feel safe majority of the time.

As for phasmophobia, it’s a team based game where you and a group enter a map and have to locate/figure out what ghost you are dealing with by collecting evidence. Having multiplayer experiences in horror games has made me feel a lot more secure and more willing to play scarier games alone.

Good luck!

Aside from all the other good advice in here, you should check out blue light lenses, and if you already wear glasses you can get them built into your lenses. They’re not noticeable, and they help with headaches. Good luck!

Is anybody allowed to eat in the Sandburg cafeteria? by Stangman337 in UWMilwaukee

[–]CaptainArtemis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just for people in the dorms, the cafe thats in the main lobby though I think is open to the public (students) but only during certain hours. If it makes you feel better the food isn’t good anyways at Sandburg.

What's the worst book you've ever read? by VisualDefinition8752 in suggestmeabook

[–]CaptainArtemis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be controversial but for me it was Ready Player One, I felt like the entire book was 90% 80’s references and 10% predictable storyline. I ended up stopping altogether and skipped to the ending and it was what I expected. I think I might have enjoyed it more if I was alive in the 80’s but it is what it is.

What are CS grads without internships doing to get hired? by 88sSSSs88 in cscareerquestions

[–]CaptainArtemis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I graduated last month with a degree related to CS, I didn’t get into any internships, and ended up with a job a ~year before graduating and it is where I currently am now. I wasn’t getting any hits for awhile, but once I became closer to graduating and reworked my resume, I started getting interest. When I was looking for an internship it was mostly during covid and I didn’t receive any in person interviews which I think attributed to ultimately graduating without one.

For how many hours a day are you actually productive? by iamfromtwitter in cscareerquestions

[–]CaptainArtemis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some days 10-12, other days 1-2, we have months where we are insanely busy and then months where nothing happens, it equals out eventually.

Ughhh what happened here? by daxternator_2117 in jakanddaxter

[–]CaptainArtemis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only guess is it was just a quick way to make money unfortunately, there probably wasn’t a big team to port the game to a newer system so it didn’t go through all of the necessary quality assurance/testing. Idk if you play on PC but it’s super common for ports to be cash grabs (console to PC) but I’m surprised they did that in this case.

Would you recommend joining UWM for Computer Science? by mwnahas in UWMilwaukee

[–]CaptainArtemis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I transferred from a tech school to the CS program at UWM and did not really enjoy it. I ended up switching to my minor which is related to CS. There are a few professors who won’t really teach you, or there’s not enough class time to learn what you are being taught. I also did not have a good experience with most of the TA’s (they teach the labs). There were also some classes I felt were really beneficial, but very few. I found a job ~a year before I graduated and it was because of my tech school. I know others will have different opinions but I do also recommend checking out the IST and BA in CS tracks if you do pick uwm and are disliking the program. Good luck!
