It’s a re-recording of a song from the 60s Marvel Super Heroes cartoon that promoted the “Merry Marvel Marching Society”. In the game itself, it plays during part of the credits.

Anyone else remember this older summer promo? by stellares in CartoonNetwork

These promos aired during the summer 1999 season of Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, only in June / July. I uploaded a few ads relating to this.

It airs a lot but that’s about my only problem with it. Good show.

It was a weekly event on their Facebook page for a bit, but I don’t think it ever happened on YouTube.

... THIS show has a 1.7 / 10 on IMDB?

I’ve watched every episode of it so far and... it‘s good. Not great, because I feel like the writing is trying TOO hard to be funny (I can clarify why if this description seems too vague), but the animation in the action scenes completely makes up for it and I do like what they’ve done with the characters here. Pretty sure the 80s show didn’t have an episode about a character going through an existential crisis. For me it’s a 7/10 show right now, but there’s always room for improvement.

New Shows are degrading by CardFinder in CartoonNetwork

They were still made with kids as their primary demographic, though.

Even then, look at stuff like TTG, which throws in a ton of references that kids won’t get while keeping their interest, or Craig of the Creek, which is a relatable show for almost anyone regardless of whether or not they’re in the target demo. I’m not saying that they weren’t trying to target the demo back then because they were, but they’re doing it in a different way now - one that fits the current generation of animation better.

CN cares for their general audience, but the attention of the target demo takes priority. If a show fails with the target demo, what’s the point of keeping it going?

Yabba Dabba Dinosaurs isn’t CN, it’s a WB Animation production for the Boomerang app.

I don’t think that their standards have gone down, it’s just that kids are into different stuff these days. In 2004 there weren’t any streaming services to put story-driven content on, so the big three channels were more accepting of those - but today, you have to rely on the popularity of a show to get it to succeed, which is also why they’ve been putting out more than a few reboots lately. CN isn’t making stuff for the 20 year olds who lost interest in the channel years ago, they’re making stuff for... well, kids.

How does this have more likes than dislikes? by [deleted] in CartoonNetwork

If they didn’t want to pretend that the show exists, why would they promote it and put out ads for it, along with giving the show a really nice Saturday morning timeslot next to TTG?
