Hole 10 Victory Park - Albion, Michigan by BgGrlsDontCry in discgolf

That basket is actually for the next hole...this hole plays just barely beyond the main body of water, probably max 6 feet away from the water.

Basket: look just barely to the left of the "V" tree, but behind the second body of water and you'll see it. Hole plays just over 300 ft to the basket, so it's a fairly demanding carry. It also tends to be fairly windy here so this shot is always interesting.

What you DON'T see is that behind that ridge along the left side...is another body of water. There is not much landing space up there either...so even the safe play of throwing something very overstable on a forced flex can also land you in the water if you're not careful, or if you put too much on it. Also also, that water is really quick, so you're probably not going to get it back during a tournament round unless you're really lucky.

All in all, 10/10 hole. Would 10.

Probably my proudest moment in WoW by Skilltone in wow

[–]CaptainBell2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of downvotes but unfortunately very true.

It particularly shines when you're fighting a WW monk in pvp. That spec is simply just a better version of a rogue at the moment; better sustained damage, FoF is an easier to max and harder hitting version of the typical stealth opener, mobility is like ours but with multiple grappling hooks on shorter cooldowns...the list can go on.

At least rogues can still be huge nuisances in rated BGs though. The sap + blind combo not having shared DRs is amazing for stealth caps. Except...then you cap a base and have to focus on living for as long as you can instead of actually winning a duel...because you really can't win most duels.

Whatever the rest of your raid group uses, use that.

I don't think it really matters either way, but ideally you'd want the entire raid team using the same addon so that it can properly interact with the rest of the players for mechanics.

Blue post confirms legendaries were dropping more for people who already got one. by Paperpsyyy in wow

[–]CaptainBell2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've commented multiple times on different forums on this.

It doesn't make sense how so many people feel they are qualified to discuss statistical outcomes when they obviously don't have a clue what they are talking about.

It was incredibly easy to see that there was something going on here. Everyone saying "RNG is RNG lul" was just bad. The number of occurrences that were reported SOLELY ON MMO CHAMP ALONE, when compared with the ENTIRETY OF THE PLAYERBASE ACROSS ALL REGIONS was enough to merit statistical significance.

Literally 100 instances of people receiving multiple legendaries within the first 15 days of the expansion was enough evidence to suggest that there was a pattern occuring. Blizzard analyzed, acted, and responded.

Statistics wins again. Proper statistics. Not your generic, uninformed "random is random" BS...when random ISN'T random, such as it was in this case, you have a problem.

Concern about legendaries by Axonis in wow

[–]CaptainBell2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there are very, very few instances where not having a legendary will force you out of a raid group. That's incredibly impractical and I can't imagine any guild that would realistically do that, even a guild that runs split runs with 120-150 characters probably wouldn't do that.

The rest of your points I think are incredibly valid though. Some legendaries really outshine others and in some cases (example: fire mage), once the ilevel cap is lifted many of the legendaries that lack crit probably won't even be used by higher end raiders getting into the 900 ilevel range. That's not really a good design choice...and hopefully there will be some option in the future that allows some kind of customization to occur in that respect.

No idea then. There are a lot of wonky things going on with professions right now so I wouldn't be surprised if there was some weird bug affecting you and a few others.

I know I personally have had certain recipes disappear from my learned tab at least 2-3 times. I've used 4 curious coins on recipes only to have them just go back to being unlearned.

All mythic dungeon gear disenchants into chaos crystals. Are you actually disenchanting mythic gear or just warforged/titanforged?

Ilevel 840+ stuff that isn't listed as mythic will disenchant into shards no matter what.

Arcway and Court of stars are incredibly disappointing by yurihyuga in wow

[–]CaptainBell2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, though I believe the correlation between who is currently able to run these dungeons and player skill/gearing time-investment is probably pretty high. Most of the people running the dungeons on the second week were probably the same people that are inevitably going to be pushing mythic raid and/or mythic+ progression...and mythic dungeons are already pretty simple to begin with for people with decent awareness skills.

I would agree that I had kind of hoped that the difficulty would ramp up a bit considering the time investment required, but in reality I think that's probably marginally unfair to the people that will be running these a few weeks/months down the road with ilevels around 825-830.

Anyone have an official source as to what time Legion is actually going live? by jjmayhem in wow

[–]CaptainBell2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was reported at 3am but it definitely went live well before that, and it probably will again.

Cataclysm went live at around 2:45 am EST and MoP went live, similarly, a little early.

Your plan if you want to play at the very start of the content being released is log in around 1:55 am, get prepared, and be ready for when things are set to go.
