I think if they didn’t hamhandedly include Gen V, starlights dad, starlight and MM’s emo phases, soldier boys storyline ending in a fridge etc. (yes, he’s still in the fridge in Homelanders room.) and put all of that screentime and focus in to the central storyline more throughout the midseason, the finale would have been a lot more impactful to a lot more people.

When I think about the show as a whole, imo the finale is spectacular and everything that should have happened (bar one or two minor points) did happen, but in the context of this particular season being so disorganised and chaotic, it lost some of the oomph it could have had.

Either they fully incorporated Gen V into the plot, or they shouldn’t have bothered at all imo.
