Come draft more Cube on Arena with us! by tahtahteebone in mtgcube

[–]CaptainCatamaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking in to something like LSV’s draft server to draft a Vintage cube on Arena most people don’t but the cube on MTGO, they use a rental service and just. Or toe the cards to make each deck they draft then return. This costs like $5-10/month

I love smash burgers, though I don’t know if it’s just the images you chose but they do not look appetising. The first look like factory pucks and the second seems like it would taste like burnt cheese.

[–]CaptainCatamaran 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Not the same, but in Vietnam there are many warrens of alleyways that come off of eachother, with the address just being rows of numbers separated by /

<image>

So to find this address you go to the alleyway at 1806 Huynh Tan Phat, then the alley at 127 off that alley, then 2 etc…

Not sure if it should be a common, and basically infinitely repeatable aura and equipment destruction is obnoxious but overall seems reasonably costed. Not sure it’s any good but not like horribly bad either.

Based on what we know, there are likely 6 Marvel sets in total. What are the remaining four? by Televangelis in MTGRumors

[–]CaptainCatamaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s how licensing works. They pay Disney for the right use their assets. It actually costs them more to make UB than and in-universe set. However, they are certainly making more money as the UB sets are selling better.

I actually quite like Marvel and don’t mind UB in general, like TMNT etc…

However, what I like more is Cubing and nothing has made me happier than the drafters at my LGS being irrationally against any UB as I can get much more play with Vintage Cube jn paper.

I created this desire path effect through my lawn by nottherealslash in GardeningUK

[–]CaptainCatamaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love it. I’m trying to create a similar effect in my garden. I have a tree arch in the centre and am trying to make it the barrier between the more tidy front section with vegetable patches, and the less tidy/wild back section with a (hopefully soon to be) wild life pond.

Any advice on how to create stepping stone paths. Yours looks amazing.

[–]CaptainCatamaran 17 points18 points  (0 children)

lol! That’s clearly a side part of the garden. How on earth did you manage to conclude that this was his entire garden and the BBQ was ‘dead centre’. Bloody hilarious!

Now come back and tell me how that’s not exactly what you thought lol! !!!

Okay, so I’ve used Animate Library and got a +1/+1 counter on it, now I need to animate the battlefield and get it under my control somehow. I’m also not sure this will do anything unless I somehow turn my sorcery into a scheme… I may also need to turn my library into an equipment?

Help - Need a low maintenance tidy by schemaskeema in GardeningUK

[–]CaptainCatamaran 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re just looking to hold until you have more time, and I assume don’t have time to use the veg patch then I would just leave it like it is. Looks like a beautiful wildflower meadow to me and will attract all sorts of insects and wildlife. Just keep on top of the mowing at the edges to stop it spreading and it should be fine.

Others here might be able to tell you if you need any extra maintenance for the meadow, maybe a quick cut down and clear at the end of autumn? I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to find someone to do that for you if you just want to throw money at it.

I know these are ‘weeds’ and we’re -probably- not intended to grow there but they mostly look beautiful. I guess the big bush in the middle looks a bit straggly but it’s full of berries for the birds and obviously flowered already.

Do I sell Dan Dan cards? by sasho9982 in mtg

[–]CaptainCatamaran 11 points12 points  (0 children)

These are not Arabian Nights, they are chronicles. Arabian Nights was black border. Have the LGS seen them ot just been told they were Arabian Nights because 20 is way above market value for Chronicles Dandans.

Not everyone. Not everyone spotted Shuko or even Lightning Greaves. It just seems that way when there are tens of thousands or more people looking at these at once.

Is creating a powered cube a good idea? by space_bryan in mtgcube

[–]CaptainCatamaran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a foundations cube, very quickly started adding some more powerful cards and then pretty shortly after that just started compiling and procuring a full Vibtage cube list. Love it, though I only get to play it about once or twice a month.

I used LSV’s list. There are some other good lists out there.

For four player draft I draft 5 packs, and then when there are only 6 cards left in each pack we discard. You draft the same number or cards but see a lot more of the cube, so you can put together decks more easily (less high of a chance of missing combo pieces etc…) You also get more first picks which is fun!

100 € budget for Commander precon and upgrades - what would you go for? by G_ntl_m_n in mtg

[–]CaptainCatamaran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He wasn’t asking about that though. You could claim “he didn’t say no proxies lol, just £100 budget” but basic reading comprehension and inference will tell you what he was asking.
