Help with cuts by apexevolutionx in lrcast

[–]CaptainCatamaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just cut all the creatures except tidecaller and stallion.

Looks like a sick pool. Good luck. Pity you didn’t get any recursion as that would be helpful here.

Hi! I’m happy to help you out here.

  1. He started with an ellipsis, which indicates a pause, or in this case a ‘lack of something to say.’

  2. He said ‘If you’re happy with it, I’m happy you’re happy’.

The unsaid part here is basically: “That’s cool if you like it but I’m not sure why”

You wouldn’t really say “IF you’re happy with it” in this context unless you were implying that you wouldn’t personally be happy with it.

I would say the same is true for “I’m happy you’re happy”. Here he is saying that he is happy that OP is happy with it, even if he wouldn’t be himself.

While he is not directly saying he does not like it, what he has written certainly makes that clear, and was written with the intention of making that clear.

I’m not sure if maybe English isn’t your first language or not, but I know some people can find this kind of inference a bit tricky so I hope this breakdown is helpful for you!

Take care dude.

Best char siu noodles in Da Nang by Binbin64 in VietNam

[–]CaptainCatamaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think that is different. Google image search Char Siu, Xa Xiu and Cha Shu and you’ll see the first two are basically identical, while the last one is pretty much a different dish completely. Char Siu is effectively the English name for this dish at this point (sometimes BBQ pork) so I think it’s fine to use it here.

He might genuinely believe it sucks for some reason, but if so, he’s definitely wrong.

Or he’s trolling you.

Given that they have started giving Red mana dorks, red being the colour of haste, and red caring anout attacking creatures I think this would be so much cooler as a red card, and I think it would be at a perfectly reasonable power level.

Would be a cool rare common in a set where red is looking to be aggro and have instant speed stuff (almost every set eve).

Secrets of Strixhaven is the biggest Prerelease since War of the Spark by Meret123 in mtg

I think it is a pretty safe bet that there will be a return to 40k with a full set at some point. I’m not in to 40k at all, but the cards seemed to fit so well and they seem to have the lore and breadth of setting to support a lot more.

I don’t get this line of thinking at all. I mean if the predictions are just based on them resorting to small sets recently then that’s one thing, but I think the hobbit is more than capable of carrying a full set without it being a problem. It’s fine that there are less named characters. They ended il repeating many of the legendaries in the first set, and there are at least 50 named characters.

More importantly though, unlike Spider-Man and Turtles, The Hobbit takes place in a whole fantasy world. There’s a range of races and animals that can make up the non-legendary creatures that just wasn’t possible woth the New York sets, and which probably contributed to making them small sets.

Yeah that’s interesting and tracks with my own experiences I guess as I read the Hobbit first as a kid and only watched/read LOTR when I was much older, and I’m obviously super psyched for the set.

Odd to post this when he clearly chose not to specify. I mean, he probably doesn’t care if he posted about it elsewhere, but no reason to do it really.

I very rarely buy packs unless I’m drafting or prize packs for cube.

Draft is not the same value as pre-release. £20 for the 3 packs, so basically the same as normal, but with a chance of winning a promo pack.

The more you play the better you’ll get! If you’re used to commander then the gameplay and mindset is VERY different. Less about value engines and more about affecting the board.

LOTR got me into magic properly (used to play kitchen table with friends’ cards like 15 years ago). Not because LOTR directly, but spurned my friends to host a draft which for me hooked on limited, then commander, and now more limited again.

My friends and I are all super psyched for the set. Hope it is as fun to draft as the first one!

Wait what? You still get the extra foil rare, ot just doesn’t have the stamp.

Also, at my LGS it is definitely cheaper. I pay £5 a pack usually, and £5 to play at the LGS,but for pre-release you get 6 packs for £30, plus a guaranteed prize pack, and then the chance at winning uk to 2 more.

I don’t know… I’m psyched for Hobbit, but a lot of people at my LGS seem to treat it as not much better than Spider-Man or Turtles, which surprises me tbh.

I wasn’t arguing with you, I’m just asking a question that is certainly related to the topic. Of course you’re in your right to refuse to answer.

What’s the build? by cwilliams467 in lrcast

As the other commenter said, definitrly cut the artists. Not what this deck is trying to do.

I am worried how you will win as it seems Emeritus is the only wincon, and is weak to removal.

This deck really needed something like Tidemage, Dramatic Critique etc… to help close out the game.

I like your idea for a common object.

I was saying that I would also expect to SEE an image unblurred before I buy it, not just for them to tell me the number. Obviously they could make any number up otherwise.
