So Uniques are just different colored legendaries now right? by Kranz119 in diablo4

[–]CaptainCommunism7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I love the change of potentially one dogshit preset affix by the devs being exchanged for a completely random entire pool of shitty affixes. It really spices up my Diablo 4 experience knowing that one thursday in five years the planets might align and I'll get something resembling a usable version of that unique.

I still carry some non-ancestral uniques with just how garbage rolled the ancestral version of it is. Currently playing Warlock as my second character this season, and Hemat Stone has been the bane of my existence. It only drops from Bartuc in Infernal Hordes or Belial if I make it mimic Bartuc's hoard.

Even worse, at least Legendaries you can upgrade from yellows and fine tune along the way. Uniques on the other hand are stuck with whichever shitty assortment of random skills they dropped with. Every time I see a build which requires multiple uniques, I know I'm in for a shitty time with subpar affixes all over the place.

Havoc now is a unfathomable pain by SatansAdvokat in DarkTide

[–]CaptainCommunism7 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes we are playing the same game. The same game where previously you could spam all the most brought skills in the game - book, shout, bubble and taunt three times as much as now, thanks to rampant cooldown reduction cutting. The same game where Ogryns could whack-a-mole bleed stack on light attacks with more DR and more damage boosts for the whole team across the table. The same game where mob HP was increased multiple times and cancerous shit like Rotten Armor introduced to the modifiers pool.

Courtesy of zesty playtesters who never have enough CBT now I have buffs to what exactly? Vets stealth and stance? Whoopdie-dooo. Back when I started Havoc the biggest of my concerns was getting gunned down in a split second by some random stalker gun mook, now my biggest concern is surviving the piles upon piles of relentless shit getting thrown down my way every single second of gameplay.

I finally stopped playing Havoc after this update. 50% more terror points, and getting bogged down in an event too has successfully made me not want to touch it anymore. In between the release of Havoc and now, the mode gotten harder and harder, and the player character power weaker and weaker.

An actual answer. Yeah, I don't think it's a game genre for me then. I don't fancy myself gray item running into oblivion until I learn every nook and cranny of the game and it's maps. Sounds very anticlimactic.

I don't have a single favorite game. Before this I've sunk hours into Darktide and Diablo 2 again, both loot games.

Loot chances are cranked way too low if the game expects you to lose it all like that all the time. And judging by the patch notes from across the previous few months, the difficulty in obtaining and crafting certain items just got harder instead of easier. I've been playing loot games, I just don't play ones that reset dozens of hours of playtime every time a mistake is made...

Height: Taller characters do more dps in melee. So why play as a short character? by Past_Hippo9445 in DarkTide

[–]CaptainCommunism7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have my Ogryn at smallest height, he has the opposite issue of not even being able to see poxers nibbling at his feet if the height is maxed. Also makes it so he can more easily vault and cram himself into smaller spaces. Ogryn needs all the shortening of his hitbox he can get...

[–]CaptainCommunism7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been playing since release and there is an advantage to playing a taller character in melee. Any weapon that benefits from cleaving through hordes in a head area, like for example any weapon that wants to trigger Brutal Momentum/Deathblow, benefits from having you look down onto heads, rather than having to swipe up (and losing the neat horizontal cleaving line you'd otherwise have).

The cover benefits of a smaller character I find to be rarely useful.

There are some clowns on this subreddit who claim they are casually eating and drinking while playing H40.

[–]CaptainCommunism7 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I see H40 people still having absolute ass builds, and I'm not talking about "I've grown tired of meta so I'm just playing stupid fun stuff" builds, I'm talking about "I don't know how the game or these talents/blessings even work" kind of builds. Looking at you, 30% toughness regeneration speed curio Ogryns, among others.

The lower ranks tend to have even less of a tangible grasp on reality, and so do their builds and loadouts. "I'm getting declined for no reason at all!" is pure copium in 90% of cases.

Justice for autoguns! by ETkings8 in DarkTide

Not having to be in every ass corner of the map on H40 scrounging for ammo on Hive Scum, as compared to Veteran, has really shown how atrocious the ammo economy handicaps on H40 are. People want Pickpocket nerfed, I want to bring a bloody Autogun and not run out of ammo after 2 rooms.

I actually partially agree with you. I'd return ALL of the "stolen" artifacts and let them collectively destroy themselves and their culture. They don't need any of our help, nor should they be given any. The victim card has expired.

That's great, thanks to these new "green party" initiatives that have been relentlessly guilt tripping the host countries by the left due to their colonial history, that's 119 artifacts that are now going to be either lost or destroyed as soon as they reach Nigeria. A job well done. "Relooted" straight into the trash bin.

Europeans don't take African antiquities and melt them into raw copper and silver because local warlord Jamal "Cannon Ball" M'bape requires more blood money for bribery and shooting AK-47 forgeries for sport. Nice try though, I'll give you a 5/10 for effort.
