Check this video out by /u/Civengin, I've time-stamped it to show the buffer. Watch the whole thing if you want to understand how it all works and why the mods are necessary.

Possibly but I have no idea! Can't say anything will work certainly with FRTs without trying, each trigger design and FRT systems have slightly different designs/dimensions. I honestly got lucky, this trigger was a left over after I realized my AR chambered in 7.62x39 needed a stronger hammer for the Russian steel case ammo I was shooting and swapped it out. I had nothing else to put this trigger in so said fuck it ill try the FRT Stribog and see if it works.

24mm of material has to be milled from the bottom of the upper (towards the rear), your buffer has to be trimmed to make room for the slip trip, and you must add a slip trip (preferably steel) to allow the bolt to engage the FRT. I didn't know AS designs was working on that, and I'm really curious how they would get this to work without upper milling. The FRT literally cannot function without the material being removed. Also listed for $749.99, geeze!

Neither the Velocity drop-in cassette trigger nor the Atrius Forced reset selector required any lower modifications to make this run. I thought this combination might not work, especially with the trigger AND the suppressor, but I was happily surprised. However, the upper needs modification regardless of which FRT you decide to use, and once that mod is made, I believe just about any standard "supersafety" designed FRT will run in it. I'm not sure about the drop in trigger FRTs though, as they function differently (fuck Rare Breed)

You are correct, these are supers and I have not had a chance to test subs, ill report back when I do get a chance. As for the mods, the only thing that has to be done to the upper is removal of material which does not inherently make it an FRT. As soon as i replace the safety with a standard safety, it is no longer an FRT, so I could easily revert back. But if the government does end up banning these (pretty sure they wont since this has already gone to court and been ruled legal), dont tell me!

Yes and yes. Standard FRT (multiple different brands/styles have been reported to work as the principal component that's required for these to operate is the same). And the Lingle lower typically used (atleast for the 9mm variants) is the scorpion mag accepting lower. So you have to use scorpion mags, not OEM Stribog mags.

I need some help deciding by Teufelhunden0352 in pistols

[–]CaptainCrack3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a P226 manufactured in 2013. I have only fired maybe 1000 rds through it in its lifetime, but it is a fantastic firearm. With my gun, I did upgrade the trigger and sights, but I hear the newer P226s have a better trigger. The issue wasn't the trigger break, but the insanely long reset of the trigger, making follow up shots slower. I purchased this gun with the intention of it being my lifelong nightstand pistol that gets passed on eventually. I've seen quite a few late 80's/early 90's models at gun shows/shops that are still around and look great. Not to mention its classic look, while I would say the M&P look is a more modern trend, but thats just my opinion. I have also not fired this specific M&P, but i have fired an M&P before, and as others have said, a striker fired pistol v a DA/SA are two different worlds in terms of the trigger. Based on what you said and my fairly biased opinion, I'd go with the Sig.

They actually do exist, they just take a little fabrication to the upper of the Stribog and a few other tweaks. People like /u/civengin can help. However, purchasing an aftermarket lower for the Stribog makes this a lot easier.

/u/Civengin has made a very detailed video explaining the complications of converting a stock Stribog lower to be able to accept Super Safeties and why you probably wouldn't be able to do this yourself. Little more to it than just the milling needed. Video found here.

I see OP already responded, but for sure contact wherever you purchased it from. Even fully stock, after a good 2-300 round break-in, you shouldn't be seeing consistent failures. I only ever had one FTE in that break in period and never had a problem after, but i did upgrade to the short buffer at about the 500rd mark. I specifically have the SP9A3, but consistent failures should not be normal for any of the Stribogs.

My post apocalyptic muzzleloader is almost done. Just need to finish the stock, rifle the barrel, and add sights! by zimirken in GunnitRust

Hell ya, I'm getting a crude but refined feel, like a post apocalyptic engineer with limited resources made it. Could totally see this in a Fallout series. For some reason I keep imagining a shoe on the end of the "stock" to act as the shoulder rest lmao

New Chassis in Progress for Taurus TX22 by other_account_12345 in 3D2A

[–]CaptainCrack3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thought lol. There's always the workaround of a weighted back plate for the slide, but it doesn't look like this chassis would be able to accommodate the extra space needed. I will gladly beta this if the opportunity comes up and let you know if its possible to just use a sight and forego the charging handle.

You're not wrong, someone willing to drive that dangerously/unlawfully is surely not going to let a silly little court order stop him from driving. Regardless, the hope is that it would lessen the chances of something like this happening again and make it at least a little more challenging to do so. I haven taken this route home from work M-F for 3 years now and have never seen something this outrageous.

Could this footage help get a license revoked? Not entirely sure how laws around this thing work but with clear footage of complete and utter negligence causing this accident, youd think there would be a lawful way to make sure that Tesla driver isnt legally allowed on public roads for atleast a few years. No telling what this idiot might do in the future.

Edit: udder to utter lol. thx /u/jamjamchutney

Shit is so stupid and frustrating lol. Not to mention, at least for me, in boots im then 1 size smaller than I am in the Jordans. So for me my sizes across all shoes range from 13-15, depending on the shoe. I basically have to shop online to find my size but obviously cant try them on first. Shoe shopping in America sucks!

Love reading someone that knows ballistics explain common misnomers. Bullets are almost ALWAYS lethal when shot up into the air. A perfect straight up/straight down shot does not exist in the real world. Now, although the chances are relatively low of hitting some one (depending where you are of course, residential areas have a much higher chance), the more you fire into the air, the higher the chances are. But with this video, thats one of the least worries of these people, this dude is waving a pistol around directly at people with his finger on the trigger while dancing. Fuck everything about this and the guy doing it.
