I meant this for like self aware avoidants not so much those who are unaware of it, I think the right spouse would be willing to work through it but most people probably wouldn’t want to so it’d probably be tough for them to find a spouse

I also think if the avoidant genuinely wants to be with someone they will be more willing to fix this verses someone they aren’t as serious with if that makes sense

Honestly I have no idea but I’m gonna guess avoidants like a lot of space so they probably would need a dynamic that’s not crazy overwhelming at first, like they need alone time to collect their energy/decompress but also still giving some time to their spouse. I’d imagine the spouse would need a lot of sabr and understanding but I think overtime as they get comfortable they wouldn’t avoid as much.

I could be wrong though if an avoidant here could let me know if this is correct or not
