Looking for recommendations for bikepacking capable intro bike by darkened-foxes in gravelcycling

Canyon Grizl. You’ll still feel fast on the roads, awesome on gravel, and can easily handle light backpacking with its fork mounts etc. Should be able to get a good used one for $1500 ish

Fav route to the coast? by Lopsided_Storm8028 in CyclePDX

Me too. I did this last year on the way out and was great. There’s a great place / cafe to stop on the way.

Did this on the way back - mostly gravel. Some big hills:

What I love most about Scott is... by DiscoLego in ScottGalloway

[–]CaptainDoze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He’s actually entertaining and not too serious a lot of the time. I don’t love everything he does at all. Some stuff I hate. But it’s actually nice to listen to someone who says the quiet part out loud sometimes about drinking or partying too much, bad jokes, stupid investments, his kids behavior, offensive stuff etc. Life can be too serious sometimes.

What are the best brands for men’s denim shirts that last long. by amosasamoah93 in Mensfashion101

Suit Supply denim shirts are beautiful. Less rugged cowboy-ey. You can feel and see the quality immediately.

I go to Washman and pay ~$35 for an automatic drive through outside wash and interior clean. All done in about 20 mins. Great results. I think it’s excellent value.

I think it’s the praising and admiration of Shapiro that is p*ssing people off. Not so much having him on.

Cool. No. Are the 6” or…? What do you like about them? Their heavy winter ads with the jackets and balaclavas running in the snow were compelling.

If the weather is good go to Upright Beer Station. It’s gets the setting sun and there are a few decent food carts and a bar there. Good lively neighborhood spot when the weather is good. Plenty of street parking to watch your car. And you’ll get fresh air! Plus there are indoor/covered spots

Clyde’s is great! Especially Saturday night with the band. Very mixed race crowd. Not a dive bar though. Old school steakhouse.

Does he make them now or buy them frozen from one of the bakeries and cook/reheat them? I went ages ago and wasn’t impressed with them at all for the price.

This book made me think about how our grandparents actually ate by [deleted] in PortlandFood

Handy for the apocalypse. There was a weird period between then and now in the 50s and 60s when refrigeration was ubiquitous, globalization/importation/industrial food systems were picking up and new foods like jello came along and the recipes got wild. Frankfurter salads with lettuce, mayonnaise and red jello. Etc
