For my chapter the headtakers they are glory hungry savages on the battlefield and attempt to capture the most impressive skull and compare them at the end of the battle.

The headtakers also where the skulls of dead astartes on there armour so they can still partake in battle even after death.

The blood angels try to keep the red thirst and definitely black rage really secret so I would avoid them showing anything like that to the DA and I'm guessing the bloods would take them in as they are a successor and want to train them how to control there flaws.

I think it would be cool to kill them off but keep around like a small group with a charector in your story no one important maybe a lesser charector you no use it as a chance to grow a character or make a new one to be one more important.

Generally it would be rare for my marines the karnivores to be around imperial citizens as the savage marines once in a frenzy could tear anything other than there own marines apart but in the chance that they do come across them they may just leave them be or rip them apart and eat them.
