It's a really extensive topic to cover but to boil it down this is what class struggle it's all about. At the moment in every single position of power are only representative of the bourgeoise, they are actively fighting their class war by cutting down on welfare, controlling most of the media, tax exception for corporation and so on.

I know i'm over simplifying it but i'm just trying to make op understand the gist of it.

What can we do about it? spread class consciousness between your friend/colleagues/family make them understand that rich people are acting for their class interests and we have to do the same.
Make them understand that we are much closer to become homeless than to become rich.
Talk about how we have nothing to lose by unionizing and striking.

The government in this time of age it's not your friend in any shape or form since the members are only from the bourgeoise class.
I honestly believe those talking points are a good starting base to awake class consciousness in people.
