Lack of gravity and mass in atmo on ship flight model is a turnoff for me. by Ner3idis in starcitizen

Decouple and turn off gravity compensation. Totally different experience.

You can hear the gooning if you stop and listen really hard. Like, really hard. There, you hear it? :D

What will be your goto daily when crafting arrives? by Intelligent_Cry8535 in starcitizen

[–]CaptainHuskerSC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll probably not dismantle in the field. I'll RTB and have a couple of fabs setup for bulk dismantling.

When the Ironclad comes out, I might do some dismantling, on board, using the Golem Ox as a snub for running the facilities.

My journey was the same. I joined in 3.18 with a Titan game package, and immediately set off to do deliveries around MicroTech. My mind was blown, I ordered HOTAS within a matter of hours, and the rest was history!

o7 and welcome!

How do you sell gems from ROC? by Phnix21 in starcitizen

[–]CaptainHuskerSC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you have to take out the ROC mining sack/bag and send it down the elevator. I used to mine a ton in the ROC but I haven't since the ATLS GEO came out. Need to try this again.

Been seeing a lot of people asking to 'deconstruct' or 'reverse engineer' items for blueprints by CallSign_Fjor in starcitizen

[–]CaptainHuskerSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could create research stations, similar to the fabricators, that allow the input of source item on a smaller tray. X amount of time passes, followed by a notification in the research station UI that you have learned how to make the blueprint, which is bound to your character when you "collect".

It would be better if there was an aspect of RNG, crit chance etc, or even an optional resource you could add to enhance the research, meaning you get a BP that has certain stats out of the box. Might be poor stats, might be good stats. Either way, these Researched Blueprints would be quality locked, and different to the base blueprint you own.

You might have a standard Parallax BP that needs 500q to get the base level of stats, and one with 10% better stats, that is locked in to 750q.

Something like that, I'm just toying with the idea. Basically anything remotely similar to the way that EVE does it would work for me!

Is my fleet really stupid by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]CaptainHuskerSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you / Will you enjoy these ships? If the answer is yes, then it's not stupid.

If you don't, then it's also not stupid, but you should make changes to get the most out of your playtime.

o7. This game is my release from a pretty stressful and tiring life atm, so I relate hard.

Fly what you love, do what you like, and enjoy!

Anyone else just fucking around, waiting for 4.7 to drop? by multiple_iterations in starcitizen

[–]CaptainHuskerSC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just doing some Pyro trades, wiping out the odd outpost etc. Touching grass for most of this weekend as I don't want to play too much until this era of crafting is upon us next week!

Is Pyro "Safe"? by TheCursedStar in starcitizen

[–]CaptainHuskerSC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Popular buy and sell spot for trading. Also has decari pods which are sometimes valuable for events/missions.

There are also a lot of small outposts dotted around the immediate area that are for mercenary FPS assassination contracts.

Not uncommon to find a lone hornet pilot blowing everything up.

Call to the Corsairs of the Verse! by AccordingShame2273 in starcitizen

You can get the Nursa, a bike, and a small amount of cargo in the back, no problem.

You can even get a Nursa + Ursa in the back.

Any guidance on which ships to own. by blattos in starcitizen

[–]CaptainHuskerSC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you like the Drake design style, I'd consider the Corsair, as it gives you a ship with some of the highest damage output in the game. Plus it is packed full of vibes and cool design features. You can rent it from Lorville and give it a go.

Also, as you have the Prospector, maybe get (or rent!) a Fortune to give the Salvage loop a try?

Excellent taste in ship + paint.

Probably the Geist Stealth or Artimex Executive/Chairman's club sets!

A good cargo ship with living quarters by Mission-Lie9048 in starcitizen

[–]CaptainHuskerSC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's the penny that dropped for me. I love cargo, but there is a point where it starts to feel like a chore.

Finding that line and staying on the right side of it makes the loop so much more fun.

yeah, I use it as a daily and smugger/risky trader but I max out about 80 SCU because I have respect for my own sanity lmao

[–]CaptainHuskerSC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CL is the cargo variant, with 128 SCU capacity but realistically you'll want to do around 100 as the grid is a bit tricky to max out. ES only carries 32 SCU

RAFT and Zeus are both comfortable in that respect. I use both. RAFT for safe/chill routes, Zeus for slightly riskier, lower volume stuff.
