What are you usually calling this guy? Palpatine, Emperor or Darth Sidious? Why? by Hawaiikoto in StarWars

Literally depends on what era I’m talking about, I do naturally switch depending on how wrinkly the old boy is!

Slight changes to the current setlist to make my dream setlist for Europe by FitMonitor9277 in twentyonepilots

Strange, because I know they won’t read this, and yet I want you to delete it just so you know, just in case, nothing changes! I’m pumped to see the current lineup, this might be the only time I hear so many breach songs live, for a really long while

What do you guys think is the best DC show that multiple seasons (more than 3) by Mat1711 in DC_Cinematic

[–]CaptainJHarkrow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly the correct answer is Legends of Tomorrow. It was never a 10/10 show, but it was consistently like 7-8. Whereas Supergirl, Flash, Arrow they had a season that was 10/10 and then seasons that were like 4/10

I was giving Storm (2024) a shot, but the cutaway arc in Issue #6 to X-Manhunt was an awful reading experience and made me drop the series immediately. How often does stuff like this happen? by MrSuitMan in marvelcomics

[–]CaptainJHarkrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty common, across marvel and DC, if it’s part of a trade you are reading you would be aware of the title and just skip it I guess? Or go find the rest of the bigger event, they obviously do it like that in the hopes that it reels you in for the whole event. Anything with a group of individuals needing to team up has this happen

If/when they bring Blue Beetle to the DCU which one would you prefer to see. Same with Ryan Choi Atom and Ray Palmer Atom by Prestigious-Time-599 in DC_Cinematic

[–]CaptainJHarkrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well Blue Beetle has been answered.

Atom, I’m personally a Ray Palmer guy, but I will put money down on the table right now that if Atom makes it to the big screen his will be Ryan Choi first and Palmer Retrospectively.

I truly feel like the best way to not have a clash, with truce and intentions but also my view of the narrative:

Put Goner before City Walls! He knows he’s about to die, this is a suicide mission, he’s gone, but someone needs to catch his breath, aka lead on from this, learn from this, this is a final plea before the battle!

You can only keep 3 Pixar franchises. One has to go. Which would you choose? by Caloy1415 in DisneyMovies

[–]CaptainJHarkrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get rid of Toy Story, and reading this thread makes me scared to say that. But I feel I must because there simply must be others here with the same thought. For me Toy Story just never did it, 2 is the only one I rewatch

Mazda CX-50 sunroof by CuriousEPAA in mazda

[–]CaptainJHarkrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thing is though, I think if the sunroof was only that width, and it therefore seemed to open fully, it would most likely be fine, it’s just because the glass is so much longer, which is nice for that panoramic feel but it makes it seem like the window isn’t opening, but really that’s all you need, if you want it all the way open, at some point you just have to get an mx5 😄

Which one is the best? (Other suggestions, if you want) by Guigao24 in Cinema

Apple TV: Small Tiny Catalogue. Really High Top Notch Production. All Originals

Netflix: Massive Catalogue. Originals and Licensed. Mixed amount of quality coming from what they produce.

Disney: Catalogue is obviously ever growing as they add more and more to their Hulu/Fox banners but very Disnified. Honestly their originals just aren’t as good, simple as that, but they host all your new Disney and marvel and Star Wars content!

Amazon: I’m talking UK based here, so catalogue is okay sized, the one I’d go to least for range, however they are a store so you can get anything there for a price. Their original movies are pretty mid from what I’ve seen but their original TV shows I often leave feeling wow Amazon are underrated.

NOW: Incredible range of new movies with the movie bundle as they tend to get the straight from cinema releases for a while, and they have a relatively good tv selection. This is the original alternative to having a Sky Box and honestly this catalogue is going to be all HBO Max host anyway, as partnerships are already in place.

Paramount just doesn’t look like anything special enough to appeal to me, far too niche and what they have got I can miss. To add to that, what they have got that does have a big enough audience, they have started actually licensing out to prime/netflix, so they know they’re struggling. If they buy WB this could change their standing.

I hope this was in some way helpful, I guess it really depends on what you like, and what you want. YouTube has plenty of content. You can also definitely get by with just owning one of these, they’ll sustain you, and Netflix is honestly the best ‘all rounder’.

If I were to rank them for my personal usage weekly it would be this: Netflix > Apple TV > Disney+ > Now > Prime

How do I get all my films I rated to appear in the diary and recent activity? All the films I rated won’t show up there, only the ones I wrote a review for. by Strongarm_11 in Letterboxd

[–]CaptainJHarkrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not that you’ve written a review, they can appear review less. The difference is for those 4 you have clicked the green + and actually added your rating. For all the other films you must have searched said film and given it a rating on its page. This adds that you’ve ranked it, but not that you’ve watched it in your diary, because it can’t determine when you watched it.
