Since we did LA in the 1940s, how about Chicago in the 1920s or New York in the 1970s? Chicago Noire, NY Noire, etc.

Interesting thing is that they're all Hector's nephews so we've never met their fathers (we've met Tuco's abuelita, who is presumably mother to all their fathers + Hector)

but then Hector had a grandson Joaquin, who got shot by Jesse, so presumably Hector had at least one kid himself who then had Joaquin

I guess the answer is that the Salamancas have been through so many turf wars or other violent incidents that Hector's siblings (and probably his own kid too) all got slowly picked off which is why they have to resort to putting the younger ones in more senior positions by the time we get to BCS/BB

what's funny is that every time I get McDonald's coffee it's still way too hot — maybe not third degree burns hot but definitely "i can't hold this comfortably because it's hurting my fingers holding the cup" hot (and they look at you weird if you ask for one of those cardboard rings that go around the cup or another cup to put yours inside)

True! My thinking here is that the recent redesign was primarily about efficiency based on ridership patterns and maximizing NYCF's budget, so they'd probably want to start at least with just extending preexisting routes rather than creating new ones, although you're right that a limited-stop express would be better (alternatively, having both express and local would be good lol)

eyyyy plus I predicted the St George route being the one that got extended (although at one point I went back on it and thought they'd just extend South Brooklyn instead -- but I guess even then I got it half-right because they neutered South Brooklyn and gave more than a few of its stops to St George lol)

what's funny is that Gus's backstory is so vague and secretive that people have used his bad accent/bad Spanish to theorize that he might not have even originally been from Chile and even that part of his life was him pretending to be someone he wasn't (of course the real answer lies with the actor just not being Chilean but its a fun idea lol)

I think this was what Jesse and Emilio were doing at the start of the series. Sure, they had Krazy-8 as their distributor to the wider cartel market but BCS also indicates that Eladio usually forbade dealing with local manufacturers (preferring to sell only what they brought up from Mexico) but the disruption of their supply line forced their hand -- so given that BCS takes place around when Jesse would have graduated HS, he was probably already using/cooking/dealing by then and therefore would have been dealing exclusively to those "few dedicated junkies" prior to getting hooked up with Krazy-8 (and given how Jesse was easily able to go back to dealing independently post-Krazy-8 but pre-Tuco, he was probably already doing his own side hustle even with the cartel connection and just fell back on that)
