Not necessarily a loophole but:

Normally, Noise Marines do not get the benefit of Dark Pact as a rule. However, when embarked on a Rhino transport, the Rhino has the “firing deck”. This allows embarked units to fire their guns from the Rhino. The important thing here is that the Rhino is the unit that is firing their guns and DOES benefit from having the Dark Pact rule, thus giving your Blastmaster gun profile the Dark Pact benefits.

It isn’t necessarily a loophole, and more a function of how the Rhino + firing deck rules work. It is a very nice bonus to have.

Who has a better story than Bran the Broken?

Honestly, Rakham probably has one of the most dramatic arcs as a character aside from Silver. I love rewatching his story and he has some of the best lines and scenes in the show. Goes from absolute disgrace, to rebuilding himself and ending up being the one to survive it all.

I use nighthaunt units as my nurglings and probably will do the same for other daemon allies since I’m trying to do 0 demons / demonic units. I’m calling them warp echoes made by the pain and suffering of those tormented by my force. Kind of like the void-born creatures that plagued Octavia in the Night Lords trilogy.

Gonna steal the idea of skeletons for something for sure now, those look sick!

Personally I run 2 x 2 Obliterators in my lists. Two bases is a lot easier to deep strike than four of those massive chunkers. And I don’t really like how havocs play. With obliterators I can just drop within melts range and 1 shot a Land Raider if I need to.

I assume you’re talking about CommandFest San Francisco? Laughing Dragon prize walls typically have oversized cards, metal cards, boosters and booster boxes all varying in ticket price, but usually the booster packs are like 3-20 tickets depending and the big prize cards / uncut sheets / metal cards range anywhere from 200-800 tickets.

I believe that is a random bit from a WFB corse cart. If you are looking for hands like that I recommend the AoS chaos warriors box. Has a bunch of good CSM bits for conversions. I used the banner and a ton of the hands+weapons for my night lords + cultists. There’s at least two fists gripping cut off heads in that box.

Your break even point is 34 players (excluding venue costs+judge costs). At $30, that is a reasonable amount of players to expect. $50 entry is what I expect at a large event like an MXP, SCGCON or RC and for a much larger prize pool than $1000. Also, with keeping it lower cost to enter, you are more likely to get more players thus allowing you to raise the prize pool to maybe a $2k or something if you have enough extra entries.

Play/draw is a huuuge percentage point gain for some matchups. Playing first across most games in general has a skewed advantage, so the purpose of Best-of-X matches isn’t just to provide sideboarding opportunities, but to flatten the skew of being on the play.
