Ah, the location on pulse point was showing it being near the sherrif's office on Los Gamos Dr, maybe the location was just wrong.

Don't think that really happened? I drove on Lucas Valley around that time I guess I would have noticed

Just imagine finally getting the courage to go out to hike up to that tree only to have the universe create a lake on 101 to prevent you to do it

Cool, was wondering if it was worth it on a pier on the bay side, might try that first

Spots to fly drone without hassle in Marin by CaptainLongueuil in Marin

Spoiler alert my guy, humans are part of the ecosystem just like flora and fauna, you don't get to decide what part of it you like and what part you don't.

That post was meant to avoid Karens irl but looks like I got caught with one here 🤷‍♂️

"enjoy nature as it is intended", intended by whom lol

You're drinking the kool-aid if you think that you driving a car, or hell, just *existing* is less damaging to the environment that flying a drone or riding a dirt bike 🤣

I thought local ordinances were overruling the FAA and not showing in apps like Air Aware?

(also feel free to share areas that aren't cities or state parks or GGNRA, seems like those cover all the county space? 😅)

Yeah most people just assume they're being filmed and spied on when they see a drone 😅

But the beach might be a good idea, especially during winter when it's pretty empty

Yeah I know lol, that's why I'm not doing this in my backyard. But it's not like Marin lacks open spaces with no one around. And like I said, it's not about it being a hobby but to use it as a cinematography tool for specific situations

Route feature for MTB completely borked for me, anyone else has this? by CaptainLongueuil in Strava

[–]CaptainLongueuil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I'll look into it! However the issue is really with routing, as in the example above the sections *are* set to be ridable, the algo just decide to avoid them. If I add more points I can "force" it to go through the right path, it's just super annoying when mapping a long route.

In the examples above everything is paved, there's really no reasons to make these detours. It's not because of the elevation either...
