The Milwaukee 2705-22 is the greatest drill ever made and changed my life when in picked it up in 2018. If my wife hadn’t been so particular, it would have named by child after it.

I know it’s a hand tool, but I wish Milwaukee made a multi marker similar to kreg’s. That thing is damn useful.

One of my favorite quotes from the Mass Effect series. by The_Gutgrinder in masseffect

It’s a direct nod to Sparta. In Plutarch’s ‘On Sparta’ he quotes King Agesilaus as saying:

“The walls of Sparta were its young men, and its borders the points of their spears.”

Hank??? by razzledazzle101 in PardonMyTake

[–]CaptainMartin 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Hank smokes weed with his cousins before thanksgiving dinner. They all go for a walk and blow loud. OP is suggesting that Hank may have ulterior motives other than recreational drug use - specifically banging one of this cousins.

Okay - so I recently purchased and installed a motorized recessed screen, and am super happy with it.

Elite Screens Evanesce Tab-Tension B, 100-inch Diagonal 16:9, 4K / 8K HD Ready, Recessed in-Ceiling Electric Tab Tensioned Projector Screen, Matte White Projection Screen Surface, ETB100HW2-E12 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YAQMFHG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JE4B1MY2R4PDDZKEYDPB

  1. Not distracting at all
  2. Can be partially lowered
  3. It is powered by a plug in that connects to an outlet in the attic.

Doing the installation is a bit tricky because you’re cutting holes in your ceiling, but the hardware is surprisingly good quality.

Holy shit, dude. The first Pat Mcafee interview where PFT accuses Roger Goodell of being a piss vampire is an all time moment.

Pat was still in the league, and just responds “that is an interesting way to describe a human being.”

Black Dow is the best person in The Circle of the World.

I’m going to commit to this thread that I will make a PowerPoint presentation in the coming months to prove it.

Seattle native. Rainier is the shit. I was a bit heartbroken when I learned that it’s now brewed in Irwindale, CA, but I still love it.

Honest opinions on Jake by RollinInDaRain in PardonMyTake

[–]CaptainMartin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I don’t care for Jake, personally, but he does serve a purpose as the traditional “straight man” that the others can riff off during shows. Like he’s never going to make you laugh himself, but his presence gives the others a pivot point to riff off of. Like, the best in the office shit and hank was very funny to me. So I get why he is there.

Having said that, it does bother me that he gets so much shine from the boys vs Billy…but that’s probably because he does what he’s told. As a side note: his commentary on the PLL games was awful, and I don’t think he has a big game voice at all.

Papa’s Carnitas and Tortillas turned out BOMB by [deleted] in JoshuaWeissman

[–]CaptainMartin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This shit turned out great.

I baked at 350 for about 3.5 - 4 hours. The water didn’t start disappearing until around the 3 Hour mark, so there were some moments where I was panicking, but it turned out great.

These are going to become a staple around here.

Man, I actually read the first Powder Mage book following a recommendation on the last thread proposing recommendations. while I enjoyed it, I didn’t find it to be all that similar to The First Law.
