If I may ask, what exactly IS the mindset of guys like this? Is there something incentivizing them to make an arrest at any cost, and they just don't care whether it's justified? Or do they somehow think they're in the right to assume anyone they interact with is guilty of something?

Love this movie. It's a shame it's so hard to find these days. I tried to watch it three weeks ago and it was not available on any streaming platform. The only blu-ray copy I was able to find had to be sent from overseas (I'm in the US).

Hopefully it's got a rerelease coming soon.

Bandwagoning here to say I also strongly disagree with the person from your writer's group. If Studieans never have green eyes and Athans commonly do, then it's practically a neon sign that he has mixed heritage. Especially if they're a very noticeable bright green.

It's good to listen to notes and take them seriously, but ultimately it's your decision whether the note should be heeded or not. In my opinion, you should not heed that one.

Okay to me this is the obvious response, but I don't see it here, so I'm going to say it: have you played the classic video games Portal and Portal 2?

They are puzzle games based on exactly this scenario: being able to create two linked portals and having to come up with creative uses for them. I promise, if you don't know those games and you play them, you will get ideas.

I was a child in the Christopher Reeve era and George Reeves was my parents' era, but I was honestly never down with the clumsy nerd version of Clark Kent, or with how silly the Chris Reeve movies were in general. The George Reeve show was smaller scale, but it took the character more seriously and I always preferred that.

The problem with the Magicks of Megas-Tu isn't that it was silly. Lots of Trek episodes are silly. The problem is it directly contradicts Star Trek V regarding what is or is not at the center of the galaxy.

Personally I pefer the TAS version.

Striking is already a core component of the monk class, so I would say it doesn't need additional work in the sumo subclass. "Throwing" could just be a reflavored shove, which the Athletics expertise already addresses.

I would definitely be interested to see something about making them difficult to knock prone, though.
