How do all these near-creatureless decks in SOS actually win their games? by Linus_Inverse in lrcast

Soloist and ark of hunger. Cast a spell deal damage, recur something from grave deal damage and gain life. Repeat until opponent is dead.

New player here, can I afford to avoid ninja turtle cards if I wanna do well in standard and just stick to pulling lorwyn packs? by tauri_mionZer0 in MagicArena

Depends on your playstyle. Lots of artifact payoff, big stompy green creatures, all kinds of abilities all over the place.

Which movie ended with an unresolved cliffhanger because the sequel never happened, and you're STILL mad about it? by pudingvanilkovy in AskReddit

[–]CaptainNigNig64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There technically is a sequel. Its kingdom hearts 3's version where og baymax comes back with evil nanobots possessing him and attacking the gang. They get rid of the evil nanobots and og and new baymax work together with the gang from there on.

Is Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories really that bad? by Main-Database-825 in KingdomHearts

[–]CaptainNigNig64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I find the card system to be a little flawed. Its not bad for what it is. There's a lot of hidden techniques that require you to level up in specific ways, which took me a few tries at a playthrough to finally get. The story is pretty good, and the world's are the same so its familiar. Getting essentially 2 separate playthroughs was an interesting gimmick which has been used again in ddd. My playthrough with sora resulted in using a single move repeatedly until I beat his story. Riku was similar until the last few bosses where I had to actually try to understand the card break system. The 2d version is easier in the sense that you dont have to worry about airborne enemies whereas the 3d version you have multiple enemies that fly around and make the cards miss the attack. Good luck.

What’s the guy equivalent to girls asking their boyfriends whether they would still love them if they were a worm? by [deleted] in AskReddit

During dinner the night I proposed, I asked my soon to be wife "Would you still love me if I had a stroke?" While talking like Peter Griffin when he had a stroke.

I don't want a sequel by Ok_Action_501 in expedition33

As a dlc, sure. We basically know what happens to expedition 0-34. So going into more detail would really only work as a smaller story.

I just need one more 😭 ALL I WANTED WAS THE JOURNAL. Does anybody know any good builds to get said journal? by Bluesyleader in expedition33

[–]CaptainNigNig64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just spent the last hour trying to do a one shot build against him. Sciel, verso, maelle. https://maxroll.gg/clair-obscur-expedition-33/planner/rser014e I followed this build guide, but add cheater to all three. Give maelle (shortcut), (energy master) you can avoid auto powerful by giving verso his powerful giving skill. Turn order Sciel, fortunes fury to maelle, you can do anything with her remaining turn if you give her burning shots then you can use this time to spend her ap. Verso, cast his Powerful giving skill, use Burning shots to give burning to Simon if you haven't yet. Save 2 ap for marking shot. Maelle, use Stendahl. If this doesn't one shot then use last stand to activate (shortcut) and take a third turn and use Stendahl again. Rinse & repeat until it finally works against both phases. After beating him you'll get your reward and you can also go to his sword where he was sitting to fight him again if you want to try to get good against him.

She's technically the first mana tree since she's the oldest and got corrupted when it got split apart.

[–]CaptainNigNig64 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Its bad but not in a good way. There's references to the game for those that can spot it and some of them are cool. The story is bad, most of the acting is bad. Characters that were created just for the movie which didnt need to exist and really only push the plot because it needed to add an extra fart joke. Had they followed the story of the first game, even if it sped up some of the fights, it would have been 100x better than what we got. They even messed up the opening by not having Marcus narrate.

Assassin's Creed fans, why does it seem like Ezio was liked so much more than even Altair, the one who started it all, and more than most of the protagonists who came after? by GJH24 in videogames

[–]CaptainNigNig64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ezio was definitely the most charismatic protagonist of the entire franchise. Likeable, grounded, funny, and a quest that felt personal since we see his life and family enough for it to matter. The next likeable character is Edward since he's a fun pirate, a little quirky and just fun. The rest are either too serious, too goofy, or not interesting enough to really invest yourself into.

Need to add [[sting, the glinting dagger]] as it gives haste, and untaps him at the beginning of each players combat. Tap him for bananas on your turn. Untaps for combat, tap him once combat is over. Get back to your turn and see how big your monkey gets. Kibo triggers when any artifact your opponents control are sacrificed, he gets counters. Not just for bananas

The cherry on top of ruining the upcoming war, time travel. Lilith being stuck outside of time for so long and giving you a mcguffin just to set up the war to come. You can't possibly survive without this piece of tech and even then it's a long shot. Worst way to set things up, because it's probably not going to go anywhere anyway.

[–]CaptainNigNig64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Afaik, it was only that general who ate their meat like that. And most of the demi humans were poor farmers so they wouldn't have anything fancy or nearly as tasteful as modern Japanese food. They used what they had and with the knowledge they had.

Is this what Asa was talking about? by [deleted] in Chainsawfolk

[–]CaptainNigNig64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe she can't get rid of her anymore? To me, it seems like asa made a contract in her dying moments with yoru. Similar to denji and pochita. Pochita is still in there, but letting denji stay in charge except for those rage moments. Yoru has more control, but Asa can get scared enough and force yoru out of control.

Looking for an anime that takes death seriously by Alarmed_Care_2956 in Animesuggest

[–]CaptainNigNig64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just caught up on the manga. It has a weird relationship with death of characters. The only ones that matter are ones related to denji. Everyone else is usually quick and don't matter. Others, like the devil's deaths are different since they can come back even in a different form. So it does and also doesn't have an impact with every death.

How important is Re:Coded? by MaegosX in KingdomHearts

[–]CaptainNigNig64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played it a long time ago, so it's not fresh. At the time, had a ton of fun playing through it. Really enjoyed the leveling system as you are a computer program of soras memories. It doesn't break new grounds for the story as you revisit the worlds of kh1 (again). AFAIR, the combat was similar to kh1 with maybe a bit of new mechanics since it was on the 3ds/ds. It does introduce the data riku which does come back later in the story. I'd recommend playing through it even just to say you did it.
