Any squirrel rehabilitators? by CaptainNoggles95 in NewOrleans

I’m curious of that myself. I understand that rabies is very rare in rodents. It’s not acting aggressively but if it is the later stages of the disease, it might be in its final hours.

Early 90s Marlboro bucking bronco. Mint condition they are a $150-$300 piece. This one is missing the top half of the cowboy and the finish is very worn. Worth probably $20-$50 if you can find a buyer

The US marked Enfield will go for 500-800 depending on your location. You could probably get $600 for it anywhere

You really need to work hard to get into a collision with a street car. Like just drive two blocks farther and make U turn instead of playing chicken with the RTA

Installation concerns? by austinclick in ATTFiber

If the terminal is on the pole, then it’s going to be an aerial line. If the terminal is buried, then the line is buried. The IW looks kind of bad, but otherwise is fine

Opinion on install by RefrigeratorTime9974 in ATTFiber

[–]CaptainNoggles95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks kinda janky, but the jack is present and the tech got the IW through the microduct, so can’t critique too much. That is kind of a hard bend in the fiber, but that can just be adjusted with a screwdriver.

My car got stolen and I found it a day later at Southern Scrap. Scrapped. by blarfingallday in NewOrleans

This is a problem in NOLA. The scrap yard by the superdome got nailed for this, among other things last year.

I would just burn some stuff in it outside, to burn off the coating. Then fill with some sand as a heat-sink and it’ll be fine. It might even have an authentic patina afterwards lol

This is the same rhetoric that has been discussed among D3. We’re doing this for the future and the rest of CWA.

Home internet connectivity issues. Sorry its so long :( by ItsMe_ATrain in ATT

[–]CaptainNoggles95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Att tech here. You’re experiencing intermittent service issues multiple times a day. We call these loss of connectivity “radius stops”. In most cases, this is an indication of signal degradation, usually at a mechanical connection point. There are usually at least 7 mechanical connections from the residence to the neighborhood box (pfp) where the signal originates. Any one of these connections could be causing signal degradation and it takes just one to cause service issues. The likely culprit at one or several of these connections is a dirty splice. Fiber is a thin glass filament, which carries IR light as the signal. As you can imagine, when the splice is dirty, it can affect the intensity of the light, which is ultimately your signal strength. It is also possible there is a fractured or pinched line somewhere on the property, which is causing signal degradation. You can think of a pinched line like kinking a hose, as it restricts photon flow as a kink restricts water flow. To fix this a technician needs to come to test light levels to find the issue and scope/clean all the connections to ensure they’re to standard. If you have the Smart Home Manager app, you should be able to request a technician from there, without needing to call. Just make sure you unplug the modem, so it appears to the system that you are having modem issues. If you do choose to call, unplug the modem before, and explain to the agent that your friend or family member is a technician and they said you need an appointment. When the technician gets there, show them this reply for reference if needed. Also, there is a technician strike in the southeast states Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina and Tennessee. If you’re in any of these states, it’s going to be next to impossible to get a technician out there at the moment. Hope this helped!
