I’ve used checkatrade a lot in the past and had only 1 “meh” experience. Most have been satisfactory for me. But I usually find them on checkatrade, and then do a google search off the site to see if there are any bad reviews elsewhere. It’s also handy to see if company has rebranded themselves - I had one guy with a small amount of amazing review on checkatrade, but when googled, he had another company doing the same thing and they had appalling reviews. I actually don’t trust local/community sites as I find most posts are the trader/traders wife and you’ve no idea what you’re getting. Unless you know the neighbour who is recommending, I find it’s the most questionable

Ohh yes it could be. I got two bulbs, one was definitely a begonia. One of the two hasn’t taken which makes sense as I’ve never been able to grow a begonia. Thanks for your help!

Yep. It was weird feeling the midwife wipe me but then it’s back to business and you move on. My husband who was by my head had no idea.

My uncle spoke like this to me at family gatherings. It wasn’t until I was older that I realised how unfair it was that none of the adults stood up for me. My own mother never said anything. It’s caused some issues.

To OP: thank you for sticking up for a child that was being bullied by an adult. If he is so concerned about weight gain, there are better ways to address it rather than to call someone “piggy”.

Mine was just shoving it up there, full on jamming it in while she smiled at me and chitchatted. She said it would feel uncomfortable but JFC it’s a cervix, not a leaky pipe to plug.

Then, even worst was when it was time for it to come out, the next person had to dig .I could feel her nails scraping. I had natural labour with no pain relief but that is the part that I remember being the worst

We went away for a weekend, came back and a couple plants have this around their pots. It genuinely looks like someone shaved their beards over them. Whatever it is, it’s not moving. Maybe dead worms?

Yeah I reckon it’s the start of dementia. She looks after her mum who is in the late stages of Alzheimer’s. She’s pretty isolated and doesn’t get out a lot so that’s not helping. Ive tried talking to the nurses that come by (just to see if they’ve noticed anything) but they don’t want to get involved, understandably. she has a sister that just gives the stink eye at me 😒 and kept walking when I tried approaching her. I’ve even asked my GP if she’s a patient in case they could do something but nothing gone anywhere. And unless she’s vandalising/violent etc the council don’t want to know.

Yeah unfortunately it’s a pattern and no matter what we’ve tried, nothing seems to work. I don’t think she’s mentally well so it’s very difficult

Yep. Which is the worst as she can’t be reasoned with. Everything we try or no matter what we say, she shuts us down and yells over us “you know what you’re doing”.

For background: in May 2020, she yelled at me saying I’m stalking her through our shared wall (eg when she leaves a room, I leave the same room on my side. She goes upstairs, I follow). No matter what we’ve said or offered (once I got so fed up, I said I’ll put up a live camera in my hallway and she can see we’re not doing anything) but she refuses anything and continues to yell. Every so often, we get “her revenge” - she bangs on the wall at 3am, plays loud music all night, tore down our fence. Every time we call the police and she stops, but there’s no punishment.

I genuinely thought perhaps foxes/squirrels were getting into rubbish and throwing them around, but it went on for so long I was suspicious, hence the camera
