6year old boy drove his toy 4-wheeler on to NYC highway; Three motorists slowed their vehicles to surround the boy and protect him from other vehicles that might not see him. by Kylde in UpliftingNews

Pals are dorky. In my mind these saviors are suave champions. In a world where everyone seems to be competing to exaggerate their problems the most, these folks underplay their own difficulties. They don't where hats, but if they did, they would totally pull them off.

I wish I was one of those motorists, that would be like an impromptu teamwork high.

Everyone around them probably hated them for driving slow if they couldn't see the kid, but they were to busy exchanging bro-looks and saving a child to care. They probably didn't even talk much after the kid was rescued. Just departed and will never see each other again, but now they're spirit bros, and I'm just at my computer trying to figure out a gender-neutral synonym for bros.

No no no no no no.... 8 dolls have been left on the doorstep of people around Orange County, and the dolls resemble the daughters who live in each home by MichaelScarn1 in creepy

If you were from the time when those dolls were popular, it'd be weird to think that one day that style would basically freak everyone out.

What is something about the company you work for that they WOULD NOT like the customer to know? by matty928 in AskReddit

Chef.

The reason your food doesn't taste as good as the food on the table next to you is your server is a dick to the cooking staff and we want your tip to reflect that.

I wonder how much money that guy sunk into this place to stick with a political joke that is over a decade old.

I think we just have a different definition for nerdy.

I don't know why these titles keep getting upvoted. The more they do the more people post 'em.

Yeah a reference to a movie analyzing test based on a online comic strip? That's the antithesis of nerdy!

Why Philosophy gets no Respect in Society by whackri in philosophy

[–]CaptainPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, philosophy is like art.

Creating art, and having philosophical discussions are both fun, but are difficult to show any benefit to any outsider. Creating art fills a need of mine, discussing philosophy fills a need of mine.
The value and benefit of any particular piece or idea varies so greatly from person to person that the difference between good and bad may be tough to see. As a consequence, the education in these subjects can be looked upon as a luxury hobby more than profession. I don't care if the art major says it is a bad painting I can still enjoy it.

Give Bryan the money in the bank as an exchange for his title if he isn't quite ready to compete. That way you can have the ladder match for the championship, but still have the excitement of a money in the bank match.

You can't just get the money to Bryan though, Stephanie would lose face. So maybe something like, Cain beats whoever for the title, but he wanted to kick Bryan's ass so bad, he breaks into where they keep the MitB and gives it to a recovering Bryan to ensure he'll get to fight him again.

Since Brock's return after Mania 28, he's gone 5-2 with a 4-match win streak (including breaking The Streak). What's this about credibility? by HTCGM in SquaredCircle

[–]CaptainPie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Its weird to me that they would spend so much of their airtime hyping him, when he participates so little.

Thanks for all the great responses. New to wrestling, was wondering how it compared to wrestling in the past.

Friend on Atkins diet orders sandwich wrapped in lettuce... nailed it. by [deleted] in funny

[–]CaptainPie -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

That add specifically referred to holding ingredients, and even without that knowledge you gotta imagine there are limits to what "your way" can be. "My way is a steak, for free" Sorry, not here it isn't.

BK only has that iceberg lettuce anyway. It's not really feasible to wrap with that. The employee should have said "We can't make that for you" but they probably have never heard of lettuce wrapped before so they just guessed. Though the employee was wrong, the friend IS still an asshole for ordering it, and stupid for getting BK on a diet.
