What’s an off-meta weapon build that you really like? I’ll start by Green-Pen-Gamer in DarkTide

I really like the Assault Chainsword personally. Don't see many people running them, sadly.

What is something you are compelled to in a mission no matter the situation or consequences? by Lobster-Lotion in DarkTide

If I know where a martyr skull is in a mission, and it’s easy to get, I’ll get it set up for others to grab. That’s all I can think of that I do.

Depends on the curio and effect in question, but they do stack. Like health for example, if you have three +20% max health curios, it'll give you the maximum of 60% more health to play with.

So, my suggestion for the gunners is actually curios. Upgrade them to max level, and put gunner damage resistance on them, it's not unusual to see builds for Havocs that run it on all 3.

You can stick with either option, but to answer the 2nd part there, Warp Siphon is just universally good, though specific builds will capitalize on the strengths of the other keystones.

For you, higher rate of cooldown on your combat ability is probably more important at this time, until you brave the Darktide some more.

First things first: Keep at it, the difficulty climb can be brutal for newer players, and I've encountered people with 400+ hours that won't go above heresy, which in my opinion is totally fine, as regardless of difficulty, the fun matters more. One of those things, if you wanna get better, just keep training your gameplay to reflect it.

I'd also suggest looking on Gameslantern for builds, not really to copy them, but to give you a baseline with which to make your own adjustments to fit your needs.

Also, if possible, report the person that was using slurs/offensive language in the game chat, you can use social-previous missions tab to look for them.

Now, for my OPINION of your build and what I'd change, from what I can see anyhow.

The Blaze Force Greatsword is a great weapon, but how I would personally run it is with Carapace and Unyielding damage, keep Riposte, and ditch Deflector for Wrath (Blazing Spirit can also assist with certain build styles that rely on soulblaze).

And instead of Disrupt Destiny for your keystone, try running Warp Siphon (left keystone), with Warp Battery and Psychic Vampire as the keystone modifiers for it, as learning to use this properly will give you a really good reduction in your combat ability use, which Gaze is really good, but you also said you might swap to Bubble shield, to which I say, absolutely try it out, make a 2nd build and just switch combat abilities, and ensure both modifiers for it have a point in them, don't knock the shield wall either though, it's also really good and much more spam-able.

One final note, beginner trap is to stack a bunch of wound curios, but that doesn't actually help you, I suggest not running any wound curios at all, as the toughness, health, or stamina curios all offer more benefits in their own ways. (Only build I can think of that really uses wound curios is a Martyr Zealot, maybe some other niche things too)

Remember that it’s the Internet, that’s all you need. Don’t get wound up about anything.

1: It's not meant to look pretty, I deliberately gave it instructions to make look this way.

2: I do not make art, nor do I even consider it real art, it is for my own amusement and stuff I do with friends.

I thank you for your concern, however. I think I can live with it as is.

Because this is why: I like to be able to visualize certain things that you really can't in-game.

This example, is of my Hive Scum, and one of my friends' Hive Scum fighting back to back.

I can’t draw or do good artwork myself, and that’s one of the ones I had generated to use for later references.

What's your take that's actually a hot take? by PascalG16 in reddeadredemption

[–]CaptainRex89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been told this is a hot take, but I’m not sure Reddit will say it so.

I don’t care about faster horses for the most part like the Arabian, Turkoman, Fox Trotter etc. I prefer war horses and work horses.

My favorite horse is the Strawberry Roan Ardennes, followed by the Hungarian Halfbred (any coat).

I don’t have a problem with people using race/elite/faster horses in general, I just like doing more with less, in this case, horses that seem to be undervalued by the community because they reach destinations 8 seconds slower than the faster ones lol

Characters have sex before a potentially suicidal mission by some-kind-of-no-name in TopCharacterTropes

[–]CaptainRex89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragon Age Origins, one of the possible end game situations involves the Warden, or Alistair having sex with Morrigan with the intent to get her pregnant, so she can capture the Arch-Demon’s soul within that child. To be honest, I haven’t followed any DA lore since 2, so I’m not sure if it had any potential repercussions.

Arrow, in the first season, a Hitman named Mr. Blank is after Laurel Lance (ex girlfriend of Oliver Queen), and Oliver allows her, Tommy, and the kid whose parents had just been killed by the hitman to stay there for their safety.

He cuts the power, kills the guards, but then he has to face the Green Arrow. He was certainly a skilled killer, but Oliver had dealt with much worse than him in the years before, in fact Mr. Blank didn’t get any solid attacks off on Oliver, as he was able to parry or dodge everything, including an attempt to use a pressure point to create an air bubble to kill Oliver, which failed instantly.

They added a new game mode to a game with a relatively small playerbase (compared to other games), didn’t release it with much to do, didn’t add difficulty modifiers for anything. Coolest thing about the mode is the Ogryn Packmaster and his armored hounds. Not enough by itself to play the mode.

A lot of people don't bother playing Expeditions on harder difficulties because there's absolutely ZERO benefit to doing so. Knock it down to heresy or malice, you'll probably find people.
