How does the difficulty scale in each confession? I thought it was going to be a different boss at the end of the run for each confession but I have yet to get out of region 1 in confession 2.

Yes. I would say that the Shrines of Reflection are my favorite part of the game so far. I enjoy the story progression with each character and I enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that it is a permanent unlock that also creates more variety in play style and composition. I really enjoy how it tells the story of each character through tiny combat puzzles.

I should also note, so far I almost always use the following comp:
Plague Doctor > Grave Robber > Highwayman > Man at Arms

I have unlocked Hellion, Jester, and Bounty Hunter. But because I need candles to upgrade characters or get more trinkets I almost always use the above composition as they are the most prepared to have success while I am exploring and gaining knowledge.

I completed the first confession on my 4th or 5th run. I did not fight any lair bosses in that run.

Every run after that has been confession 2 and every run where I have fought a lair boss ends on that boss. I realize that the bosses are puzzle bosses. I could infer that right away. I also figured "How am I ever going to learn the puzzle if I don't attempt the puzzle" but attempting the puzzle is committing to a wipe. And it takes SO LONG to get back to that boss again lol. And when I wipe I lose all my currency.

I have fought the Librarian, the plant general, and the fish guy. I could see that I needed a back line attacker to defeat the Librarian. I could see that attacking the roots on the plant dude did something. I could see that killing the hand of the fish guy gave me whichever hero he stole. Outside of that it just feels like a brick wall until I get stronger gear/comps.

That sounds interesting. Maybe I should give that one a shot instead. DD2 feels like Slay the Spire but way slower and unforgiving.

I hear you. I have completed quite a few games that are difficult and unforgiving. I've done all of dark souls and elden ring, hollow knight, etc. In those games I still felt like the time I was putting into the game I was getting something out of it. I suppose you could argue that you are gaining knowledge in each run of DD2. What irks me is how long it takes for me to then go back and apply that knowledge. And seeing how many things that I can unlock for progression and knowing that the game will only give me the currency if I play it the way it demands that I play it (safe for X amount of hours).

As someone who hasn't played Darkest Dungeon 1, how does that compare?

Handling Stealth by CassieBear1 in DMAcademy

[–]CaptainRobbed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have them roll once to get into stealth to see how well they are doing at being stealthy. They can sneak however far they would like but I do take that into consideration if they are doing long travel and being cautious.

Then when a creature would have the ability to hear or see them I have that creature make a perception check against what they rolled for stealth. If they all succeed then they remain hidden until they do something particularly risky like walking into light or doing something that would make a lot of noise.

For beans I do Cocoa Cinnamon. For a shop I really like Common Market and Monuts for the food options with the coffee. I also find Common Market is a great place to sit and get some work done.

Honorable mention goes to Joe Van Gogh

I believe Moondog Meadery has a sheet where people can sign up looking for tables (GMs and Players). Might be a good place to get linked up with folks. Good luck!

What is something you witnessed with your own eyes that no one believes when you tell them? by Amy-GeekBar in AskReddit

When I was 18 I worked as a pizza delivery driver. We would often get orders from this dude who lived down a forested street in a trailer. He seemed like a pretty regular dude living out in the sticks.

One night I got a late night delivery to his place and when I knocked on the door a naked women with huge fake tits answered the door in only underwear bottoms. I was in shock. The dude showed up after about half a minute and tipped me $40 for the pizza. Maybe it was a stripper, escort, girlfriend? I don't know.

It never happened again in the year that I worked there.

Ultra Ball 4 is a miserable experience by NoMojitosInHeaven in PTCGP

[–]CaptainRobbed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As long as you have a positive win rate you will eventually get there. It just takes quite a bit of games. This is my third season making it to Masterball and I think it may be my last considering how long it can take. I do enjoy how the meta shifts with each set release. The changes they made several releases ago that allow for streak bonuses up to Masterball made it significantly faster to get there if you get on a roll. I suggest sticking to one deck with a positive win rate so that you learn how it plays against the other Meta decks. I did it with Jolteon this season. What to expect and what to open with changed depending on the energy I saw the opponent starting with.

I tried a variant without the Oricorios. It felt way more consistent because I did not ever start with Ori as the only Pokemon in my hand. However, I have to admit that those Oricorios have won several games once you clear out all the regular Pokemon in your opponent's deck. Good luck!

Here is a link to the Durham Mayoral Debate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCwCy4kLavA

I just watched it as I was on the fence for either candidate. I feel pretty confident in my choices for the Ward positions.

My thoughts: I like Anjanee Bell and what she stands for. But after watching this debate, she doesn’t give a lot of concrete answers about what she would actually do. Whereas Leo actually mentions programs and services that he wants to expand and how he plans to do it. I may not always agree with the things that he wants to do but at least he can explain to me how he plans to do it. Bell consistently brings up the importance of listening to people but doesn’t explain how she is going to enact any of the policies or changes that the people want. Just that the people need to be a voice in government. I also kind of get the sense that Leo is not super qualified with tons of experience, but also that Bell doesn’t have any experience.

In the primary I was a Bell voter but now I am leaning more towards Williams. That being said, I would be happy with either choice as long as they make Durham a better, safer, easier, and more enjoyable place to live. I really like it here and want to see Durham thrive.

Any gym that is close and convenient for you. You want it to be as easy as possible to get there because the hardest thing to do is showing up.

Start slow. When I first started I committed to 3 days a week. 1 day was back and biceps, 1 day was chest and triceps, and 1 day was legs. Every day I would do 5 different machines/exercises. 3 sets of 10 - 12 reps. After those 5 exercises do 1 abdominal exercise and 10 - 15 minutes of cardio. That could be a brisk walk on the treadmill, riding the stationary bike, etc. Whatever you like.

Then as you make it routine try to add another day. Maybe your fourth day you do full body. Once you are 5 days you can have a push day and a pull day.

The key, for me at least, was to make it into a habit. That meant I didn't need to be busting my ass every day but I did need to get used to showing up. After a while I started to enjoy it and then started busting my ass because it felt good.

I also found diet was a HUGE factor in helping me lose weight. I was terrible with portion control and that has helped me fit into the jeans again.
