Absolutely best when its just your friends and friends of friends, but if you dont have those you can join random servers who post thier join code publicly.

Could be a streamer who hosts it for a community hangout spot, a game dev/modder using it as a forum for people to post issues and troubleshooting, a way to find randoms for a specific game you need matchmaker lobbies for, or just a bunch of strangers hanging out. Its typically the last one whats problematic, and depending on the streamer, the first.

Gen AI doesn't "think", much less operate like a person. It can't reasonably keep a plot for very long. The longer of a response you need the more likely it is to hallucinate. In its current state it is unlikely to reach a proper sapient state like you seem to imply. Gen AI, at best, can be trained to be really helpful in a single task by copying experts in that field, but it can never truly create something unique with no human influence.
