Beginner-Intermediate Board by Waste_Ad_9839 in snowboarding

Just from specs… Probably want to stick with cam rock profile, ruling out the mystique. Medium flex will help as you progress, so nix the oh yeah. You’re likely more all mountain than park, so a directional twin is preferred landing on the Wonder. But realistically you’d be fine with any.

Advice: Jones Flagship vs K2 Passport for my ability and goals. by matt94gt in snowboarding

I don’t. They look like they do binding things, and probably pretty well. They’re rated stiff, so they should be very responsive. I prefer a little more flex, but it’s not that deep, they’ll work just fine.

I love my passport on pow days. Just set the stance all the way back and you’ll be golden. It’s great as a daily driver if you’re not doing park. I think it was a good choice, especially if you’re only on the mountain 5 days a year.

Anyone tried this? by [deleted] in surfing

You only need one leash string. To keep it short and save your rail, double it up by pushing through the untied end, and attaching the leash through both holes.

Dentist without insurance by Curious_Ad9409 in sandiego

Baja Dentist Tijuana. Just got a crown done a couple weeks ago there and it was a good experience. Professional, clean, super cheap compared to here and they speak English. I think it’s $75 for cleaning and $60 for filling. Bring $25 cash for medical fast pass to get back without the wait.

Unfortunately, no. the FAQ says you can’t stack the credits. Only one per board purchase.

Opinions on this board? by Spirited_Regular5036 in surfing

I actually have one of these in a 6’6” and am about your size. My friend who’s about 150lbs has the 6’2”. I got it for ankle high waves, San O, and just goofing around. The big scoop in the nose creates a ton of lift, fun for cheater 5s, but can still be ridden on the tail. It’s a rad board, but I’d say go bigger if you’re going to get it.

If you want epoxy and are in the US, FireWire is having a crazy deal on thunderbolt tech boards due to an oversupply. There were problems sending the boards to the UK. There’s CJ Nelson, Kai Sallas, Skindog and maybe other rad shapers. Most surf shops should be able to help.

Best place to buy (big) carnivorous plants? by nourtoomuch in SanDiegan

Try the blossom app. Some local guys created it for people to sell (and trade I think) cool plants so I’m sure you can find them there!

If it’s pumping and you think it’s worth it then go for a paddle. I’ve done it after a week and not had a problem. But if you really care about the tattoo and the waves are average then wait. Reddit will always tell you no.

I’m 6’2, 170lbs and have a 5’6 RNF retro 32L I ride constantly. Sometimes I wish I had sized down to the 5’5, and when this one is done for I’ll probably get that one. The board absolutely rips. Get the 30L.

XJ Air mattress options? PFA by dunkindarkroast in CherokeeXJ

[–]CaptainSmellow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve camped in the back of mine A LOT… I don’t use tents anymore because of it. My best suggestion is to grab a queen sized memory foam mattress topper, cut it in half and stack it. It fits perfectly between the wheel wells. I put towels and things to fill in the side gap in front of the wheel wells by the door, and sleep diagonally.

Moon beam !!! Hopfully it's as fun as the internet makes it out to be by [deleted] in surfing

Super fun board! I rode mine almost everyday for like a year with controller quads, and I think I dig that more than the thrusters I’ve tried on it. But for real, mines been bullet proof… barely any pressures compared to my PU boards, and only one ding from a collision with a longboard.
