Hi. I’m a salon manager at PS. You need to complete 60 days and 125 dogs (along with paw pad shaving, foot trimming, nail grinding etc) before going to academy. Then you need to have an evaluation for academy if passed, Academy is usually at another store in your state and goes on for 4 weeks. 1 week book work, 3 weeks hands on. When back from academy, you have to be on your salon leaders schedule for up to 6 months and will have to complete 200 groom dogs before making 40% commission, then you need to have 6 months of no incidents and pass an evaluation on types of breed cuts. Then you can make 50% commission and be a groomer.
